200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

In Rishikesh, cradle of yoga, a teacher training fully translated into French. In a yoga center, at the foot of the Himalayas, Indian tradition and blue sky are waiting for you on the banks of the Ganges. Meditations, hikes, discovery of Ayurveda, and also emotional anatomy (kinesiology) are offered in addition to the purely yoga moments of this training.

In the center, you will stay in a shared bedroom. They all have a private bathroom.

You can also enjoy the green surroundings in a small garden ( n winter sitting around a bonfire) as well as a beautiful panoramic view of Ganga from the fifth floor of yoga hall.

Nw bedsheets and towels are provided in every course.


During this retreat, whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner, you can develop a new vision of yoga that you will be able to share in your teaching. The certification is primarily based on at least 90% attendance to classes as well as on the behavior and the conduct of the student. The certificate of completion will be issued by Sri Yoga Peeth.

Typical day

This yoga teacher training is structured based on the study and exploration of the yoga sutras of Patanjali, created hundreds of years ago. The 8 pillars of yoga or ashtanga yoga (ashtanga means eight in Sanskrit) mark the rhythm of the day. They help you to discover all aspects of yoga, well beyond the physical postures, in order to live with an integral yoga philosophy. The 8 pillars of yoga described in the sutras are dealt with at different times of the day. It's an intensive retreat, seven hours a day, which enriches the body and mind.

Emotional Anatomy and intelligence of the body based on the test of Kinesiology

This option brings to this ancient teaching of the hatha yoga a Western view. Listen to the messages issued by your body, in terms of pain, limitations, diseases or stiffness. It reveals the link between anatomy and yoga’s philosophy of life. The awareness gives space to the mind and the body softens. This training is enriched with workshops on the emotional body language and emotional language of the face, in order to bring more awareness to your practice and discover subtle relationships that govern emotions and physical limitations.

Excerpts from the program: muscle biofeedback - understanding of the energy locked in your emotional blocks - how to reach the memories of your childhood and release them - correlation between muscles 12/12, organs/12 meridians and their energy- balancing the chakras - revitalization of the pineal gland.

Included excursions

Different excursions to Rishikesh and the surroundings are planned during your free time, free of cost.

  • The yoga center is located five minutes from the Ganges for rafting
  • KUNJAPURI temple at the sunset
  • VASHISHTA CAVE on the banks of Ganga
  • Trekking to the large waterfalls, and also serves as a starting point for four trails to trek to mountain temples

But also, the possibility to go down to the Rishikesh market for Indian shopping gems and colorful fabrics, cashmere or silk.

Retreat location

This training will be held near Laxman Jhula, a village dedicated to yoga. Modern comfort in an authentic and preserved nature with monkeys and multicolored birds, etc.

How to get there

By plane

For international flights, please book your tickets to the International Airport Indira Gandhi in New Delhi (IGI) located about 250 kilometers from the training center.

After that the simpliest is to take a domestic flight from Delhi to Dehradun (DEL) (fom 20 to 120 EUR depending on the day and the hour). Once in Dehradun the organizer can arrange a transfer for you (additionnal cost). A cab would cost 12 EUR.
