CircAsana fuses the ancient wisdom of yoga with the latest positive psychology, anatomy, and acrobatics techniques to build a strong body-mind and ignite creative confidence and purpose-driven leadership. Whether you want to deepen your yoga and movement vocabulary, become a yoga teacher, or find clarity on your path, this training will take you on a journey of playful self-discovery.

The method

This program focuses on experiential and embodied learning, whereby you first explore and play with the magical practices and techniques for yourself. You will then delve into safely and inspiringly teaching these learnings to others, focusing on developing methods to connect with and engage diverse audiences.

Finally, CircAsana will support your ignited creativity genius in developing your own class creation, specifically designed for a community you care about, using a combination of scientifically proven design-thinking strategies combined with more esoteric and playful techniques. You will also leave with a plan on how you will weave your learnings into life after the CircAana yoga teacher training.

Flexible modular program structure

CircAsana offers a flexible program structure, beginning with an online component and followed by three-week-long, in-person training modules. The in-person training may be completed three weeks in a row or as separate week-long modules over time and in different locations around the globe. Each module counts as 67 hours towards the 200-hour certification and you must complete the program within two years.

Pre-training: online coursework

The first 20-hours of your training begin online, including introductory online lectures, quizzes, reflection exercises, secret missions, and surveys that they will refer to during the in-person training. This structure allows them to spend more time during the in-person training focusing on the practical side of things, and more time for you to enjoy the beautiful venue.

Expect to finish the online coursework with an even greater curiosity towards your CircAsana 200-hour yoga teacher training, connections with your peers, new ideas about yourself, and inspired thoughts on the potential of yoga as a tool for your own wellbeing, as well as the wellbeing of your community.

Week one: Center

This week is all about you. CircAsana will focus on experiential and embodied learning, whereby you explore in detail and play with the magical practices and techniques for yourself. Expect to finish this module with your own personal practice, a grounded anatomical understanding of the lower half of the body, and a fresh perspective on the meaning of yoga, its fascinating history and summary of the key texts.

You will learn the positive psychology basics and how this knowledge can be applied in the yoga setting, focusing on emotions, flow state, meditation, and mindfulness. The final portion of the week will be dedicated to svadhyaya, self-study, exploring how your personality, strengths, and values can be fiery tools for being the best version of you.

Week two: Connect

In this module, they delve into safely and inspiringly teaching their own experiential learnings to others, focusing on developing methods to connect with and engage diverse audiences. Expect to finish this module with an opened heart, understanding what it means to be an exceptional, transformational teacher, and how this relates to your personal dharma.

You will design a class specifically for a fellow trainee, develop your own opinions on the meaning in the Bhagavad Gita and Yoga Sutras, and master your anatomical understanding of the upper half of the body. You will also tune your voice for artful communication and feedback (including adjustments).

Week three: Create (not included in this package)

In this module, they will support your ignited creative genius to develop your own yoga class, specifically designed for a community you care about. Expect to be guided through creativity science and its application to the art of yoga sequencing. You will hone your knowledge of teaching to special populations and apply it practically within the local community.

To bring it all together, they have a life design workshop dedicated to planning how you will intuitively use your gift as a yoga teacher for the welfare of the world, lokasamgraha. You will complete your toolbox with decision-making, conscious yoga business, yoga ethics, mastery, and resilience techniques, preparing you for your bright light journey beyond this training.

Daily schedule

  • 07:15 - 08:00 Morning meditation and pranayama
  • 08:00 - 09:30 CircAsana yoga class
  • 09:30 - 11:00 Beautiful buffet breakfast
  • 11:00 - 14:00 Theory (circus and yoga philosophy, anatomy, happiness science, the yoga of business)
  • 14:00 - 16:00 Lunch and free time
  • 16:00 - 18:30 Alignment breakdown, teaching methodology, and practice teaching
  • 18:30 - 20:00 Dinner
  • 20:00 - 21:30 Restorative practices (myofascial release, Thai massage, acro therapeutics)

Please note that the daily schedule always follows the same schedule for all of the weeks, but the lessons change as specified. Week one is the history of yoga, anatomy, and personal practice development. Week two is communication and teaching techniques. Week three is creativity and sequencing.

Restorative sessions every other day, one and a half free days per week for surf lessons, massage, hammam bathhouse visits, and excursions to Paradise Valley Rock pools or visit the nearby city, Agadir, for shopping, food, and immersion in colorful Moroccan culture. Meals are still included on those days.

This training is set in a "YOUnicorn" palace in Tamraght, a small Berber fishing village on Morocco's southwest Atlantic coast. The birds' nest yoga shala sits high on a hill, overlooking the ocean and surrounded by real Moroccan village life. Look forward to tasty tajines, hiking and swimming in Paradise valley, beach time, surf opportunities, treasure hunting at the local souk (Moroccan market), being scrubbed clean at a traditional hammam (Moroccan bathhouse), surf opportunities and camel rides on the beach. They are also a short taxi from the tourist's surf town Taghazout.
