Natalie Smit-Ash

Natalie Smit-Ash has practiced yoga for over 20 years. She is a Hatha yoga teacher, a qualified holistic therapist, and a Reiki teacher. She has over 14 years of qualification and experience in the field of complementary health. She was born into a family of complementary therapists with her grandfather practicing conventional medicine alongside acupuncture and Reiki with the Native American Indians in North America. Natalie has completed massage training in Thailand, practiced yoga in India, and expanded her knowledge of aromatherapy and reflexology in Australia and China.

"Truly wonderful yoga retreat "

The Chillout Retreat at Gayles was a wonderful experience. Beautiful place, amazing yoga and mindfulness teachers, healthy food, astonishing landscapes, and great atmosphere. During this retreat I had the chance to meet inspiring people. This experience boosted my motivation and willpower: since then, I have practiced yoga every morning.

"Chillout Retreats at Gayles"

This was the best decision I’ve made in about ten years. Nat is a fantastic teacher and each class was different enough to keep it interesting, whilst also allowing us to see our progress with various sequences. I really felt supported and encouraged to try things I didn’t think I could do, without feeling like I was being pushed too far, or doing anything I didn’t want to do.

Becs was also the best ‘Remindfulness coach’ and meditation guide - I’d never done this before and her personal, kind, and relaxed way of guiding us meant I forgot my cynicism without even realising.

The food at Gayles was phenomenal, as was the scenery.

I loved the workshops and walks and I’ve left feeling like I’ve met an incredible bunch of inspiring people.

"First timers"

All the Chillout team were great, as were the therapists. The setting was one mile from Arundel and a lovely walk into the town. People on the retreat were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere. The rooms were fine, but I found my bed uncomfortable.

The yoga/yogalates and meditation were just what I needed and I enjoyed them all. It was lovely to be amongst like minded people.

Yoga outside on the grass was an absolute treat with the warm air and sounds of nature all around. Partner yoga on Saturday was a lovely surprise and hugely effective at helping go further with my asanas. The food was amazing - tasty and super healthy.

The yin gentleness of the experience and the dedication of the team.

The choice of the accommodation included the reading material and relaxation space as well as the refectory dinner table.

The yoga/ lates sessions were gentle and chakra balancing, and the meditations calming to the nervous system. We were privileged to enjoy the sunshine sessions too.

I enjoyed the walk with its silent meditation, the nutritional talk and the introduction to aromatherapy

The yoga practises was better than any other I’ve known.

"Perfect weekend and intro to Yoga"

The location was stunning....The classes were equally good for my novice husband and also myself - even though we have different yoga experience.

The instructors were knowledgeable and welcoming.

I feel serene and happy and about 5 years younger !
