Winning Conde Naste Traveler's award for best luxury boutique stay in Goa, Kaju Varo is a truly awe-inspiring home for Chaya.

Each individually designed eco-luxurious villa demonstrates contemporary elegance and minimalist design, creating a perfectly private, serene, and peaceful environment for the guests to unwind.

The team at Kaju Varo truly is amazing and will look after your every need.

During this Find Flow retreat, Annie will guide you through a powerful and healing combination of a Vinyasa flow practice and a more introspective, restorative Yin practice.

With helping you find your personal flow as the retreat focus and using asana (physical practice), meditation, and pranayama (breathing exercises), the twice daily sessions will begin with making space, clearing cluttered minds and body in order to allow you to let go of what isn't serving you - to make way for re-connection to your truth. And from here, your flow.

By cultivating a strength and flexibility in the body, mind, and heart through the beautiful practice of yoga, this retreat will enable you to gain clarity on where you want to be in life.

Inspirational breathing with Nicola Price

Chaya is very privileged to welcome back Nicola Price on this retreat. Nicola will be hosting a group workshop introducing you to the profound benefits of 'Inspirational Breathing'. This simple but life-changing practice can enable people to really shift stuff, to let go of deeply suppressed emotions, to get clear of areas of their life, making way to access a sense of peace and relaxation. All done by connecting to their body on a cellular level by engaging with their own inspirational breath.

Nicola has been working with the breath for many years and is now training others in the practice from her studio and school near Brighton. You will also have the opportunity to experience incredible Nicola’s work - choosing either a 1-2-1 breath session or a Tula massage, which is included in the retreat price.

Wellbeing food and workshop

Chaya’s Lucy Hill will be bringing her knowledge and understanding of wellbeing food to the retreat, ensuring a completely balanced and nourishing, not to mention tasty menu. The food will refer to the pillars of a therapeutic diet to best support you during retreat.

Daily juices and homemade plant-based mylks, two nourishing and delicious alkaline-focused unlimited meals per day, free-flowing coconuts, fresh fruits, and herbal teas are designed to leave you feeling clearer, lighter, and brighter on every level.

Lucy will host a two-hour workshop, covering wellbeing topics such as nut and seed milks, raw chocolate, and other healthy and delicious ways to upgrade the way you eat - and the way you feel.

Sample daily schedule

  • 07:30 Herbal teas and coconut water
  • 08:00 Dynamic Flow Vinyasa class and meditation (two hours)
  • 10:00 Buffet brunch
  • 11:00 Treatments or free time
  • 16:00 Yin restorative class (90 minutes)
  • 19:00 Dinner
  • 20:45 Yoga Nidra or guided meditation (once per week)

During this retreat, you will have the opportunity to visit the lively local night market.

  • Lucy Hill

Lucy has worked with numerous individuals and with clients such as Selfridges and the Soho House Group among various other wonderful eating establishments. She offers unique recipes and teachings on how to make delicious food feel even better in the body than it tastes. Lucy Hill and her team, also known as Chaya Kitchen, can cater for all events, tastes, and dietary requirements for individual and private dining and from small groups through to massive parties.

  • Annie Clarke

Annie Clarke came to yoga on her quest to find a healthier and happier lifestyle. In 2015, she spent the last of her savings on a trip to India to complete her 200-hour training in yoga with the anticipation of leaving her with two options: to come home and get a 'real job' or maybe to become a yoga teacher. From the first day of training, Annie knew which one was right. Since then, she has gone on to complete further trainings in various aspects of yoga, taught internationally, and grown a following of students back home in East London too.

  • Nicola Price

Nicola discovered breathwork in the form of re-birthing in the late 1990s. In 2012, she founded Yogagroov which was born out of her passion for yoga and dance. It is a perfect precursor to a breathing session. In 2013, she founded Inspirational Breathing to incorporate her new findings and ways of working and be able to teach them. She has an audacious vision, that of sharing Inspirational Breathing with as many people as possible hence the ‘teaching to fish’, rather than just ‘feeding’. This has resulted in her focus for creating an effective and innovative training program.

This retreat will take place in Goa, India. Kaju Varo is set among cashew and mango groves, only minutes away from the magnificent Ashwem Beach, and is one of Goa’s most luxurious eco-retreats.

"If I was to design a retreat then this would be it. The support, the wisdom, the yoga, the luxury, the sunshine, the food, the love - nourishment of the absolute highest kind on all levels. It would be a crime if Chaya host Lucy wasn't doing work like this! She is so gifted in creating a safe, loving, and supportive space to allow you to really connect with yourself and what can often be deeply challenging things that you've got on your plate. I came on this retreat in a right old muddle about all sorts of different bits and pieces and left feeling so deeply refreshed and revived on both a mental and physical level. This retreat gave me my first taste of what it's like to be truly and authentically me. What a gift to help me find and feel that?! I will be eternally grateful to Lucy and her team for this experience and if your'e still debating on whether to go or not - just book it. If it's anything like my experience, it will actually be one of the best decisions you ever make."

"This retreat is up there with one of the best holidays I’ve ever had, the organisation was exceptional, food was some of the best I’ve eaten, yoga was sublime and the staff and fellow yogis were all brilliant people. I felt completely looked after and nurtured at all times. The variety of activities was a perfect level of optional balanced with daily yoga and beach time. I have come back to work feeling a million dollars – balanced, calm, healthy, and glowing! I cannot wait to do another Chaya Yoga retreat this year."

"I can honestly say from deep within my heart I have truly had the best and most special 10 days that I can remember for quite some time; hosted by raw foodie goddess Lucy Hill at Chaya Yoga Retreats in the stunning eco boutique Kaju Varo surrounded by sweet nature and colourful wildlife. Waking up to birdsong every morning and welcoming the day in with a sunrise yoga practice guided by no other than the beautiful and wise Chlo Park; tucking into a nourishing breakfast with the group whilst talking about our plans for the day.Lazy days on the beach sipping coconuts, sunset yoga and shopping in the markets seeking out treasures to take back home. Not forgetting a trip to Mapusa to meet Ramakrishna for my personalised perfume and some kind words of wisdom; soaking up the atmosphere over a lemon lassi in a corner cafe and sharing a thali with new friends are memories not to be forgotten.I feel wonderfully relaxed, revived, awakened and full of love and light, thank you Goa and thank you all for being a part of that. I can honestly say that I have returned from my beautiful retreat the happiest and healthiest version of myself I have felt in a very long time. Thank you Chaya Yoga Retreats for making that possible."

"We wanted to send you enormous loving thanks for your non-stop incredible vibes, generosity, and nourishment for our time at Chaya. Literally within hours our pulses had slowed down to the level of a student monk, and as we know that's the level I like functioning at ;-) Your thoughtful (and educational!) menu was out of this world delicious and I'm still dreaming of our lazy brunch hours after yoga. Totally loved the nut milk and fermenting workshop- you're an absolute natural presenter and it was fascinating to not only learn so much but also to witness the incredible difference of our own guts being able to eat like that for a sustained period of time. Whole Foods has been stripped bare and we've been attempting all sorts of juices, mylks and buddha bowls; we are well and truly inspired! We couldn't have wished for a wiser and grounding yoga teacher to welcome us into each day, so much love for that mighty warrior mama! (And her little fam!) Safe to say she's made even the toughest crowd (William) into a true convert and he even admitted to working on his own self-practise without me. We've come back to London with a glowing heart, healthier gut, and steadier feet; fully equipped to battle out the rest of the UK winter. Literally not a better way to start off the new year. Full of love and light."

"When booking this Chaya Yoga Retreat in Goa, I wanted to use the experience to kick start me off on a healthy new path and inspire me to change the unhealthy lifestyle I was currently living. I had no idea when I booked exactly how emotional this experience would me and how much I would take from it. Spending time with, and get to know, an amazing group of people in such a relaxed, peaceful and loving environment was a life changing experience for me.The beautiful venue, the fresh yummy food, the yoga, and most of all, the inspirational people I had the pleasure to meet all meant so much. Ive come away from this experience mentally stronger and so much more comfortable in my own skin, and I owe the Chaya team a huge thank you for that. Especially Lucy who was brilliant the whole way through - from booking to our final goodbyes at the end. She was there looking after us every step of the way and I feel richer to have had her touch my life, if only for this brief moment. It is an experience I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and I hope to have the opportunity to join another Chaya retreat in the future."

"The Chaya retreat was a life saver. The 10 days rebooted my life. The space it gave my mind to rest and recharge, the reinvigoration from the yoga to energise my body and the warmth and kindness of the teachers was just the cotton wool I needed to be wrapped in. A wonderful place to be."
