    Trinity Center offers 44 guestrooms which have been carefully constructed within the natural beauty and tranquility of the maritime forest. The rooms are divided into 4 housing clusters. Each cluster contains 8-12 rooms. Amenities per room include one double and one single bed, private bath with stand-up shower, a dresser, vanity, and nightstand with alarm clock and reading lamp.

    The rooms are individually heated and cooled. Linens such as bed sheets and bath towels are provided for most groups. To maintain the retreat atmosphere, Trinity Center has purposefully left out the telephone, TV, and internet connection. They also do not offer daily maid service. Besides your room, there is also a nice lounge area for each group of rooms, so it will be easy for you to get to know each other.

    The rooms are conveniently clustered around a common living room. You just have to walk out of your door, cross the deck, and enter the living room to find comfortable couches and chairs, coffee tables, a cable TV / DVD, kitchenette with small refrigerator, microwave, ice maker and coffee maker with coffee supplies, a gas log fireplace, and telephone. This space is perfect for after-hours gatherings, movie watching, or just hanging out. Although there is no internet in the guestrooms, wireless is available in the living rooms.

      You will be exploring the alignment of asanas postures that open body and mind. You will also learn to breathe in ways that raise biological energy (prana) to a higher state and be drawn to that safe and quiet space inside with meditation, pranayama, poetry, and creative visualizations. You will practice by using the intelligence of the body to create harmony and ease.

      Spending concentrated time in retreat, you will cultivate consciousness and nonjudgmental awareness. It will be a gift to yourself, a chance for mental, physical, and spiritual rejuvenation. You will spend several hours a day in a morning and afternoon practice of yoga, pranayama, and meditation as well as some evening activities a couple of the nights. There will always be a long break in the afternoon for you to explore the beautiful beach, the sound side, and pretty little trails.

        Cathy teaches an interdisciplinary approach to Hatha yoga. She was certified to teach yoga through both an Inyengar based program at Lighten Up Studios and an interdisciplinary program at Omega Institute in 2000. She then received an advanced certification through the Nosara Institute of yoga in 2002. Since then, she has had hundreds of hours of training with many nationally recognized teachers of various lineages. She is deeply grateful to each one of them.

      This retreat will take place at Trinity Center. It is nestled in a pristine maritime forest on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, extends from Bogue Sound to the Atlantic Ocean.

      Trinity Center's dining facility offers three delicious meals each day with a good variety of fixed menus. Serving options are based on the size of the group and may include either buffet, plated, or family style.

      A carefully planned, well-balanced menu will be provided by experienced food service staff. Trinity Center will provide healthy meals served with fresh fruits and salads daily. Special dietary needs, such as diabetes, religious restrictions, vegetarians, food allergies, etc. can be accommodated with advanced notice.

      Driving directions from Highway 70

      • Follow US 70 into Morehead City.
      • Follow the signs to Atlantic Beach and cross the bridge onto Bogue Banks.
      • Turn right at the traffic light onto Highway 58 (West Fort Macon Road).
      • Continue approximately 7 miles.
      • Trinity Center is on the right, between mile markers 9 and 10.
      • If you pass the blue water tower, you have gone too far.

      Driving directions from Highway 24

      • Follow North Carolina Highway C 24 through Swansboro.
      • At the Highway 24 and 58 intersection, turn right.
      • Cross the bridge to Emerald Isle.
      • Continue approximately 11 miles.
      • Trinity Center is on the left, between mile markers 10 and 9 just past the blue water tower.
      • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 2 days before the arrival date.
      • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
