Casara Way offers a beautiful villa accommodation on a large, beach-facing property next to a plantation of season vegetables, including potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, carrot, pepper, corn, beet, lettuce, tomatoes and fruits such as watermelon, melon, and strawberries, among others. The retreat's center nearby wild beach, Zahora, does not usually fill up with tourists, which makes of this place one of the last surviving secrets of Spain.

Casara Way has five rural cottages, which are nestled in-between the trees, just fifty meters away from the beach. You will have private access to Zahora Beach by walking a short track that passes by an area with beautiful horses, chickens, and turkeys. The venue has a calm and friendly atmosphere with a total of five tastefully decorated and self-contained cottages and shared spaces in the beautiful garden, which will make you go home feeling totally rejuvenated.

The cottages are chic and stylish, as well as they have all the amenities required to make your stay comfortable and memorable, such as international television, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee-maker, kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, washing machine, iron, and alarm clock. Additionally, private or shared rooms with bathroom and shower are available in all the cottages.

Wherever you stay, you will be able to stroll through the gardens, walk along Zahora Beach, hear the roaring waves of the Atlantic Ocean, or just listen to the birds singing from your room. Also, its inviting outdoor areas will provide everything you need for chilling out, such as loungers, deck chairs, and hammocks, making yourself feel completely at home.

Casara uno

This 70-squared meter, light-filled cottage offers lots of charm in its two levels and its welcoming porch. On the ground floor, you will find a living room with a wood-burning stove, a kitchenette, and a bathroom with shower. On the upper floor, you will find a 30-squared meter bedroom with views to the Zahora Beach. This cottage is practical and functional, perfect for couples or couples with a small child. A big world map in the room will encourage dreams of future travels.

Casara dos

This 80-squared meter space is a tower that was built in the 1970s, and which has been renovated and turned into a three-story house. Today, this cottage is a place decorated with objects from trips to Asia, as well as it features a collection of masks from Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Tibet, India, Nepal, and China.

On the ground floor, you will find a kitchen, a dining area, and a wood-burning stove. The first floor features a bathroom and a living room, while the upper floor offers a large bedroom with amazing views of the Zahora beach, which will make you fall asleep to the sound of the sea.

Casara tres

This 70-squared meter cottage has the traditional architecture of the area with its sixty-centimiter wide walls, making the house cool in summer and cozy in winter. The house has only one floor, which features two bedrooms and a living room with a wood burning stove, as well as it is decorated with objects and details from trips to Africa with a collection of masks from central Africa.

Casara cuatro

This 100-squared centimeter two-floor loft has a pitched roof with white beams. From the main bedroom in the upper floor, you can access a small terrace with views to the Zahora Beach. When you enter the house, you will be greeted by a large space, with a living room and a dining room that feature a wood-burning stove.

On the lower floor, you will find an independent bathroom and a bedroom with a large wardrobe. This house is large and bright, as well as it is decorated with objects and details from trips to Ghana, Morocco, and Turkey.

Casara cinco

This 80-squared meter cottage is a two-floor space, which features a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a wood-burning stove on the ground floor. On the first floor, you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The master bedroom has access to a terrace with amazing 360-degree views of the Zahora Beach, the Cape Trafalgar lighthouse, and the Breña Natural Park, as well as its decoration, features objects from Africa.


You'll stay for 5 nights in an accommodation which is fully equipped; self-contained cottages with international TV channels, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee-maker, kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, washing machine, iron, and alarm clock. All bedding and bath towels shower gel, body cream, cotton swabs, cotton discs, detergent for the washing machine, meditation and healthy living workshops, and Wi-Fi available throughout the property are provided.

Casara Way Spain Yoga Retreat Program

Besides the wonderful sunsets in Zahora, the most spectacular aspect of this beach is the huge reef that shows at low tide and the enormous lagoon that appears when the water is shallow. The sunsets and the scenery make for some of the most breathtaking sights in all of southern Spain.

Yoga classes

Every day from Monday to Thursday you will benefit from three yoga classes from Monday to Thursday (Pranayama class, gentle Hatha class in the morning and Restorative/Yin yoga classes in the early evening). On Friday morning you will have Pranayama class and gentle Hatha class. All the classes are specially designed to support the elimination of toxins and to help you to feel deeply relaxed.

Meditation classes

Every day from Monday to Thursday you will benefit from two meditation classes. At CASARA WAY (Wellness And Yoga) we offer a variety of meditation classes designed to help students become more mindful, connected and self-aware. They are aimed at both beginners and experienced students. We will explore informal and formal mindfulness practices focusing on the breath, thoughts, and emotions, meditations of loving kindness and self-compassion, as well as other practices designed to deepen your connection to your body, breath, and heart.


For your five-day cleansing retreat, you will benefit from a specially designed menu of whole foods, organic raw juices and smoothies, healthy snacks and detox water (Lemon Ginger Detox Water, Blackberry and Orange Detox Water, Lemon and Mint Detox Water, Apple and Cinnamon Water, etc.). We only use organic fruit and vegetables, so our guests will not ingest the pesticides, herbicides and antibiotic residues that the body is trying to clear out.

Included excursions

During this retreat, you will receive two walking tours: the forest, and one of the beautiful White Towns of Andalusia.

The White Towns of Andalusia, or Pueblos Blancos, are a series of towns and large villages. The towns were previously inhabited during Al Andalus and later on, the towns were established on the front line of the Christians' centuries-long fight to recapture Spain from the Moors, who were slowly pushed back into Africa. Today, these hill towns are just passing time peacefully. The old center is a labyrinthine wonderland, a photographer's feast. Viewpoint-hop through town. Feel the wind funnel through the narrow streets as cars inch around tight corners.

The forest walk will take place at La Breña y Marismas del Barbate Natural Park, the second largest coastal reserve in Andalusia. Its shore is lined by towering cliffs, which are home to teeming colonies of herring gulls and egrets. Thick stands of stone pine provide shade for a stunning variety of Mediterranean wildflowers, as well as impressive cliffs fall over a hundred meters into the Atlantic Ocean. This is one of the most environmentally diverse and best-preserved parts of the Andalusian coast.

Casara will do its best to also take you to a nearby cultural or folklore show (also known as flamenco), a Spanish concert, or jam session.

Akshi Yogashala Yoga Alliance USA (Yin Yoga)
Sara grew up in Zahora, Cadiz, and left Spain at the age of 20 to study a career in business management, advertising, and marketing. Sara has lived and worked in many places around the world, where she discovered the benefits of yoga. In 2014, she moved back to Zahora to fulfill her dream of opening a wellness retreat center. Sara started practicing yoga in Bali in 2012, where she saw the benefits of Hatha yoga and the restorative qualities of Yin yoga and now holds a teacher’s training certificate from Akshi Yogashala, a Yoga Alliance USA-certified course.
João Gomes
João was born and raised in Portugal but started discovering the world at a very young age. He has practiced many sports, but it was 10 years ago when he started surfing in Angola that he found his true passion. While travelling in India, he was introduced to the practice of yoga and realized that surf and yoga are practices that complement each other. At Casara Way, he helps promoting the development of the body and soul in deeply meditative practices that provide infinite benefits.
Anwella is a meditation teacher from the Australian Yoga Academy in Melbourne, a nutrition health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, and a Spanish cuisine certified expert from Le Cordon Bleu who has a true passion for food. She practices a selection of meditation and stress management techniques, modalities that show how to use the mind more effectively, escape the shackles of anxiety and stress, and to function with more ease and confidence. With her teachings, she wants to reduce the current epidemic of depression and anxiety disorders and assist others.
Helena Chalverus
Helena Chalverus comes from an artistic background, as a dancer and choreographer with a diploma from Colorado College, USA. The foundation of her yoga practice is Iyengar style where she received her teacher training certificate in the year 2000 in New Mexico, USA. She has studied and received many levels of formacion in Kundalini, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga as well. She has spent over 15 years teaching classes, with ample experience giving retreats in Spain and the United States and Latin America. Sophia Sport
Sophia is a yoga teacher and a professional systemical therapist working with individuals, families, couples, children and young people. She started her career in Munich, where she worked as a family therapist for nine years. She then progressed to Yoga teachings and since 2012 she has been teaching yoga around the world. In 2015 Sophia moved to Spain to realize her dream of living by the ocean and combining her yoga and therapist experience in her holistic approach to work and life. Sophia’s experience gives her the knowledge and experience to help you to find your very personal way.
Viktoriya Tomiatti
During 2014 I successfully completed my doctoral thesis on Molecular Biology in Munich. My motivation behind the research was to help humanity understand complex illnesses and find cures for them. As I was discovering yoga, I learned that disease, whether physical or mental, does not simply arise at the molecular level but it does so much earlier and at a deeper level. I have studied with many inspirational teachers around the world as Dr. Sibichen George and I got my Ayurveda Training at Siby´s Kerala Ayurveda & Panchakarma Center and my Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India.

Retreat location

This retreat will take place in Zahora Beach, in Andalusia, Spain; an idyllic enclave with 3000 meters long, 40 meters wide, and stunning views of the majestic waters of the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Trafalgar. With its fine, gold sand, crystal-clear, blue waters, 300 days of sunlight per year, and its charms around the province of Cadiz and Costa de la Luz, this place makes an earthly paradise that seems like a glimpse of heaven.

The ancient watchtowers of Torre del Tajo and Torre de Meca (which date from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries) stand on the cliffs overlooking the sea, where local fishermen use the traditional almadraba technique to catch tuna fish. The local area is protected due to the precious rock ecosystem and the rich variety of the offshore marine life, making this place one of the most ecologically diverse and best-preserved parts of the entire Andalusian coast.

You can benefit from these activities for free or practice kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, surfing, and horseback riding at an additional cost.

Zahora is also the perfect place for discovering the charms of the province of Cadiz and the whole Costa de la Luz. Located in the center of the coast of Cadiz, there are nearby destinations of great interest that you can visit just one-hour drive away. This destination includes Cadiz itself, Puerto Santa María, Jerez de la Frontera, Tarifa, Vejer, Conil, Zahara de los Atunes, Bolonia, and other small towns all over the province.

Casara Way can book a shuttle for you from the Seville Airport (SVQ), Jerez Airport (XRY), Málaga Airport (AGP), or Gibraltar International Airport (GIB) to the retreat center. Casara Way will match you with other arriving guests to spread the cost. If you want Casara Way to book a shuttle for you, please notify this at least three days in advance.
