Caroline GW Yoga Retreat Mexico

An introduction to Kundalini

Kundalini yoga is called the yoga of awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul. In Kundalini yoga you harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.

Dynamic Vinyasa

A flowing practice, synchronizing breath, and movement (Vinyasa). It is regarded as most effective in increasing health and fitness, harnessing vital life-force (prana taken in primarily through the breath), stabilizing emotions, and supporting a stream of consciousness that leads to greater mental stillness and focus.

Breathing exercises which clear the physical and emotional obstacles in your body to free the breath and so the flow of prana - life energy. Through a regular and sustained practice of pranayama you can supercharge your whole body.

SUP yoga

Is a fantastic way to tone your core, build stability, and learn yoga on the water, SUP yoga involves standing on a large paddle board whilst taking part in a yoga practice. The need for balance and stability in order to do poses whilst on the board will mean you learn about your body, your breath and your mind in a very different way to being at home or in the yoga studio. SUP yoga is a great new way to experience yoga and challenge yourself. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, try something new and empower yourself.

Yin and Restorative yoga

A slow-paced style of yoga with poses, or asanas that are held for longer periods of time. In restorative yoga, props are used for support the body so that you can hold poses for longer, allowing you to open your body through passive stretching.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra or “yogi sleep” is a sleep-like state whichs you experience during meditation. Yoga Nidra, lucid sleeping is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness.
