There are a variety of different rooms that are all tastefully decorated in a traditional Mexican style with ceramic tile floors. The hotel also committed to being green, where 40% of electricity comes from solar panels, all organic kitchen waste is composted, only biodegradable cleaning products are used, and they also minimize the laundry and use of plastics.
They staff at Hotelito Los Sueños are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Ready to help you with any need, the team will do everything possible to make your stay extra special. The yoga studio is a beautiful, open-aired space with a natural rubber floor. The owner of the hotel is also a yoga practitioner and wanted to share his joy of practicing yoga in a tropical environment. The studio was designed and built with great care and attention for the yoga practitioner.
This retreat will take place in Sayulita, Mexico. Often called the crown-jewel of the Riviera Nayarit, sunny Sayulita is home to beautiful beaches, Mexican culture, world-class activities, and more. A charming fishing village, Sayulita has picturesque beaches, charming restaurants, and great food. Unlike some other Mexican towns, tourists mingle with locals in a relaxed atmosphere, without the hustle and bustle of major touristy resorts.
Sayulita offers a variety of activities such as horseback riding, hiking, jungle canopy tours, snorkeling, fishing, and of course surfing! Sayulita is widely known to surfers around the world, and there will be an opportunity to take some surfing lessons during your afternoons or day off. This is often one of the highlights of the retreat.
This year’s focus is journey into the sacred where you will explore the tapestry and tradition of yoga through the insightful and transformational practices of asana, breath work, meditation, and more. Your practices will include yoga, asana, pranayama, sensual Qigong, Tantra, meditation, and ceremony, all of which will allow you to achieve a deep understanding of yourselves. Practices will be adapted for every body and every level.
Wake up slowly, comfortably, and carefree as the sun shining happily into your cozy and authentic digs. Put your favorite yoga pants on and step out into a paradise-like setting, with nature and wildlife surrounding you and a light breeze coming off the ocean, only minutes from your doorstep.
Walk a short distance to an energizing yoga class that focuses on pranayama (breath work), flowing standing sequences, and core strengthening. Afterwards, feeling rejuvenated and strong, you sit down with your new found friends (or old friends in some cases) to enjoy a healthy, colorful and gourmet Mexican brunch.
As the day continues, the hardest decision you will have to make is whether you want to relax at the beach or pool, go surfing, snorkeling, sea kayaking, whale watching, explore the surrounding jungle, enjoy a fabulous massage, or take a siesta.
Later on, after some fun in the surf and sun, you will slip back into those yoga pants for another relaxing class that focuses on lunar Yin, forward bending, restorative postures, and guided meditation. Once you are finished, you will look forward to a night out in the gorgeous town of Sayulita, where you will meet the lovely locals, eat incredibly delicious food, and make many memories.
After the sun goes down and you back in your warm bed reflecting on your day, you drift off to sleep effortlessly, knowing that tomorrow brings you nothing but peace and tranquility. There will also be a free day for you to enjoy extra activities and explore the surroundings.
The aim for every single yoga retreat participant is to heal, transform, and awaken. Together, you will explore a four step process to uncover the layers of being as a means to merge deeper within:
You will be helped to really be in your body. This includes focused work on breathing and being breathed. Together you will find love and respect of the physical form through an appreciation of alignment and the power of the breath.
In this practices you will broaden your awareness around movement of emotions through the body. We open areas that store blocked emotions and release related mental limitations leading to the issues in the tissues.
Working with your mind can be one of the greatest challenges on this journey - the thinking mind can hinder ever step while the intuitive mind can set you free. You will be helped to use your power to banish perceived smallness. You will be challenged to recognize growth in moments of uncertainty and discomfort. Together, you will ‘think less and listen more’.
You all yearn to blossom into your truest self. As you cultivate the practices, you become more familiar with what it feels like to liberate and embrace Shakti, a divine indwelling power. A life of freedom awaits.

This 60 minutes massage is very specific. It re-aligns and re-balances your energy system. The precise technique first collects energy at a central point (with reference to the navel which represents the cradle of emotions) and then disperse excesses by the four extremities of the body.
Besides being an energy massage helping to restore the balance of their psycho - emotional state, if it has been affected, the Mayan massage has other therapeutic benefits. It strives to align muscles, tendons, and ligaments, along with improving posture and joint structures.
This gentle and relaxing 60 minutes Shiatsu massage involves pressure which applied to the body, along with other techniques that aim at improving and balancing the flow of energy, through the body's meridian pathways. Shiatsu therapy is holistic and excellent for support during the unavoidable changes and transitions that you will experience throughout your lifetime, while treating you to total relaxation.
This gentle 60 minutes full body massage improves circulation, concentrating on the muscles to relieve discomfort and tension caused by every day stress and activities. This massage utilizes pure essential oil extracts to sooth the senses and enhance relaxation of the nervous system. You will enjoy a blend of ancient techniques.

"I had never attended a yoga retreat before and had no idea what to expect (gong bath?? really, what was I getting myself into??). The week in Sayulita with Carla and the rest of the group turned out to be a great balance of yoga practice and fun in the sun. Lots of laughs! I am so glad I took a leap of faith and attended this retreat. It was exactly what my body and soul needed."

"This experience was my first yoga retreat and I was worried that I would possibly get bored of the yoga, or worse, not be able to keep up. Both of these worries were completely unfounded and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The yoga was really wonderful, and the off time was a lot of fun as well. I would absolutely do another yoga retreat with Carla - all the details were taken care of, it was easy to relax and just enjoy."
