"Fantastic experience"

It is a beautiful peaceful location, back to nature, where you can step away from the daily rush and relax. There are 3 small wooden houses in this private valley and the house where the family lives. It is close to several beautiful beaches and charming villages. You can stay in the valley and have beautiful walks, but if you also like to go to the beach, I recommend to come by car.

Tanja is a great yoga instructor, explains everything well and takes into account the level of experience and any physical issues you might have. Times for the yoga lessons were not fixed, we decided together based on my plans for the day. You have to walk up to the yoga platform (nice exercise to start with :-)) where you have a great view.

The food was very good. For breakfast fresh orange juice or smoothie, bread, yoghurt, home made avocado dip, cheese, honey, etc. Soup or veggies with humus for lunch and two courses (main and desert), with different vegetables, for dinner. There is a lot of mint in the garden that you can pick if you want to make tea in your own house. My house was equiped with a perfect bed, kitchen, table and chairs, small couch and good relax chairs outside on the terrace. The bathroom (shower / toilet) is basic. Not always a warm shower. Fits in the ‘back to nature’ concept.

"Wonderfully relaxing and restful experience "

Tanya and her sweet family made me feel so at home that I quickly felt as if I had become part of the family. The place is very peaceful and it was a very nice chance to rest and center and unwind. The morning yoga sessions with Tanya were very nice. She’s a great teacher and the setting is beautiful. Even without a car, I felt it was easy enough to get to town and to the beach when I wanted to. The walk is nice (45 mins to town then another 45 mins to the beach or there’s also a bus) but Tanya or her husband were often available and willing to drive me so most days that’s how I went. The cabin was very nice. The bed was super comfortable and I slept like a baby every night. The compost toilet was also easy to get used to. There are some sweet animals on the land such as Pony the dog, Blackie the white horse, and Camilla the goat (among others). I really felt like I became part of the family and I hope to come back to visit this sweet place again!

"A peaceful place surrounded by nature"

I had some great yoga days here and time to reconnect with myself and to calm down from the normal daily life. I really enjoyed the yoga classes and the teacher Tanja has a good sense for how to teach breathing techniques, basic practices and the more difficult yoga postures.

The accomodation is simple but clean and pretty. The food was delicious and healthy. Between the yoga units you can go hiking in the forest, go for a walk to the beach or take a good book.

If you like spending time in nature and having time and space for yourself, this place is a really good choice.

"Off-the-beaten track paradise for a back-to-basics yoga retr"

I was looking for a secluded place to unwind for a few nights that provided yoga and eat healthy food. Through this site I discovered this beautiful little valley and the perfect spot for me. The yoga teacher, Tanja, lives here with her husband Chris and daughter Marlene. After giving yoga lessons for some years at other places in the region she turned her valley into a budget, small scale yoga retreat.

The accommodations are basic but clean. (For example, there is a composting toilet rather than a flush toilet). It’s rustic but to me that was what appealed most – off the beaten path, a place to meditate and reflect with the right level of support/people around you.

As for yoga, I was a novice and Tanja assessed my level and adjusted the yoga accordingly. During the time I was there I was the only guest and I still received my two lessons a day.

As for the food, it was fresh, not-processed and tasty. I felt much lighter eating there. The family is very hospitable and laid-back hosts. For someone looking for peace, tranquility and a back to nature environment, this place will deliver. I personally hope to come again soon.
