Laura Gilmore

Laura Gilmore has practiced yoga since 1990 and has been teaching since 2002. She is a registered senior yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance UK and teaches with warmth and humor to bring the ancient wisdom of yoga alive. Her classes include opportunities to release and relax deeply, as well as to challenge oneself on a physical level, finding greater ease and understanding within body and mind.

Katerina Dvorakova

Kat’s teaching comes straight from her heart and personal practice. She was looking to deepen her spiritual practice when she enrolled on the teacher training at Bristol City Yoga and discovered a great passion for teaching and sharing the many benefits of yoga. Kat maintains the focus on core integration and alignment stemming from her desire to use yoga as a tool to heal and strengthen the body on both mental and physical plane and many more. In her sessions you can expect to breathe, laugh and use your body to its maximum capacity when practicing asana.

Mel Skinner

Mel has trained in Hatha yoga but enjoys practicing Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Nidra yoga. She is a Yoga Alliance associate teacher level II, teaching since 2014 with over 1000 hours of teaching and training experience behind her. Yoga has given Mel a new way to reconnect with her body, heal old traumas, and find a place of stability on this earth. She believes that yoga offers everyone the chance to fully engage with life. Mel loves reading, writing and talking about yoga to anyone who will listen.

Absolutely wonderful! The website is easy to navigate and the range of classes on offer is incredibly comprehensive, catering for all levels and practice preferences: Iyengar, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa flow. The website also provides background details about the teachers, as well as the other complementary services and treatments Bristol City Yoga offers. The booking system is simple to use. I've been to a a number of different classes over the past few months, all of which were excellent, taught by passionate, dedicated, and friendly teachers. The classes take place in a light and airy studio and there is ample supply of good quality equipment. Bristol City Yoga has just acquired a new studio across the road too. The reception staff are very welcoming, efficient, and helpful, I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and they have my booking details. Bristol City Yoga holds a range of 'London quality' workshops and courses run by their own staff and visiting yoga teachers - I've attended two of these and cannot fault the standard, organisation, and quality of delivery. Metered parking is available nearby and it's also easy to get to by bus - the bus station is a 5 minute walk or you can do the park and ride and get off at Primark. My only regret is that I don't live in Bristol, otherwise I'd be taking classes here every day!
