Immerse yourself into the lush mountainside jungle of the Yoga Forest in the heart of Guatemala. As you overlook the expansive Lake Atitlán, a deep breath of fresh jungle air will fill your lungs, welcoming you home. This yoga retreat is designed for you to be away from technology and daily responsibilities, to open an opportunity for connecting with nature, with yourself, and with others.
During this retreat, you will stay in a twin shared room. Each cabana at The Yoga Forest is beautiful, cozy, and looks out over Lake Atitlán and its surrounding volcanoes. Using natural building techniques, the cabañas are constructed with either bamboo or cypress, palm roof, and natural adobe walls or traditional bahareque (wattle and daub). All beds are comfortable with warm feather duvets and pillows and decorated with Peruvian Shipibo fabrics and Guatemalan cushion.
During this retreat, you will enjoy enjoy daily sunrise and evening yoga classes, workshops on yogic massage, Acroyoga, contact dance, Reiki, aerial therapeutics,
and a five-day 15-hour permaculture course.
Once the sun sets over the lake and the stars come out, you will let loose with some ecstatic dance, cacao ceremonies, songs by the campfire, sharing circles, and sauna sessions, all in the heart of the jungle.
You may also enjoy your days with swimming, kayaking, zip-lining, slack lining, hiking to waterfalls and volcano peaks, or simply relaxing and rejuvenating with a lakeside massage during your free time.
Upon arrival to La Aurora International Airport (GUA), you will travel by shuttle to Antigua and Stay at Casa Del Agua.
Travel by boat to San Marcos La Laguna and hike up to the Yoga Forest.
During your stay at Yoga Forest, the permaculture course will be held from April 17 to 21 from 09:30 to 12:30.
During the morning, you will leave the Yoga Forest and travel back to Casa Del Agua in Antigua.
On departure day, you will share farewell hugs with your newfound friends followed by departures from Guatemala City.
All activities are optional, feel free to join in during workshops, meals, and daily classes or be inspired to adventure elsewhere.

Living in amazement with nature and its beautiful cycles, she has learned permaculture techniques in Canada and Central America. The past two summers she has devoted time to building and organizing the construction of a Straw Bale Temple in Alberta, a sacred space made primarily out of the earth.
Shad has 15 years experience in organic and commercial gardening and farming. He is certified in permaculture design and has over six years experience in holistic site development and homesteading. Shad originally set out to study mathematics and work in big business but long ago had a change of heart. He can now be found dancing in his garden in Tzununa. Aside from all of this, Shad is an enthusiastic teacher who truly believes in the work he is doing.
Ronja Sebastian is a sensual awakening and feminine embodiment expert from Sweden and the founder of the Samasati Women’s Temple Deepening Booty Camp, as well as the Sensual Yogini Online Academy for Women. She is a certified Tao tantric arts teacher of Tantra and Qigong, a transformational breath coach, massage therapist, a professional dancer, Yogini, and passionate world traveler.
This retreat will be held at La Casa del Agua in Antigua and at The Yoga Forest in San Marcos la Laguna, Guatemala.
La Casa del Agua is located in San Juan el Obispo, just by the Volcan de Agua. It is a place surrounded by nature and bathed with the energies from the volcano itself. It is an ideal place to spend a relaxing weekend.
The Yoga Forest is located in San Marcos la Laguna, right in the western highlands of Guatemala.You will enjoy the peace and tranquility of mountains looking out over Lake Atitlán towards volcanoes San Pedro, Toliman, and Atitlán.
During this retreat, you will be served three daily delicious vegetarian meals. Vegan and gluten free diets can also be accommodated on request.
During this holiday, massage, Reiki, plant medicine, and other holistic courses will be available at Las Piramides in San Marcos for an additional cost.
