During this special 7-day retreat in exotic, coastal Panama, you will learn yoga and Spanish simultaneously. In the process, not only will you be getting a healthy dose of relaxation at the beach, but you also can take part in some special excursions and activities to take advantage of the culture and natural beauty that Panama offers.
Top all of this off with comfy, eco-friendly accommodations and healthy, home-cooked tropical fusion meals prepared by a master chef, and you have the makings of an unforgettable holiday getaway.
You will be accommodated in Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat for five nights and in Riande Granada Hotel in Panama City for the last one night.
Nestled in the jungle and steps away from a secluded tropical beach, Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat is the perfect retreat center to host your next retreat, participate in a yoga retreat or stand-up-paddleboard holiday, or take a short vacation.
During the sessions, you will experience a stimulating yoga practice while receiving ample amounts of Spanish language input. You will then be able to apply what you have learned during carefully designed, yet fun, communicative activities, and on excursions to restaurants, to a traditional marketplace, to a village of the Embera (one of Panama’s indigenous cultures), and to the sites you will visit on a tour of modern Panama City. However, it won’t go, go, go all the time. There will also be plenty of time to relax, to swim in the Pacific, (just a five-minute walk from the retreat center), to stroll along the pristine, deserted beach, or to just swing in a hammock.

The retreat center features a beautiful 860 square foot yoga studio surrounded by nature and a jungle stream only a 5-minute walk from a secluded beautiful swimming beach with plenty of natural shade from the rainforest that grows close to the water’s edge. On-site is an air-conditioned common room with sofas, books, board games, and a ping-pong table, perfect for escaping the heat of the day. Besides the free-standing bungalows, the property is also dotted with areas that are perfect for relaxation or silent meditation. These areas are always open to our guests. The main rancho has wi-fi access. There is also a short hiking trail through the forest and around a spring-fed pond that is home to a family of dwarf caimans. Keep an eye out for the tamarind monkeys, colorful birds, and other wildlife that live in the area!
You will be served healthy vegetarian or seafood meals daily when on site.
There are the options of massages and SUP (stand-up paddleboard) instruction. No matter what you choose, your body, mind, and soul will be refreshed, rejuvenated, and energized by the end of your stay.
