Thailand Yoga Retreat

Restore, renew, and strengthen with gentle therapeutic yoga sessions and guided iRest yoga Nidra meditations. You will be in a floating bungalow at the rustic and spectacular retreat venue at the remote Khlong Long Lake in Southern Thailand. You will learn skills to navigate challenges with more ease, clarity and joy.

Accommodation is in a beautiful, spacious floating bungalow, a "Jungalo". One or two decks are one each bungalow, offering beautiful cliff and lake views, and a place for a nice hammock nap or viewing wildlife. Each bungalow is furnished a comfortable bed (2 beds in double occupancy units), bedding, pillows, and mosquito netting. (Although we rarely see a mosquito) All the bungalows, as well as all other structures, are floating on the lake, connected by bridge walkways. The bathroom and shower facilities are the only structures on the land.

Begin each day with sunrise therapeutic yoga, followed by breakfast and free time to kayak, swim, hike, or just hang out in your hammock. After a delicious lunch, you will explore and optimize your movement patterns with different aspects of therapeutic yoga; bio-mechanical awareness, pure movement, breathing, and listening to your inner teacher. A light evening dinner, followed by laying down yoga Nidra guided meditation will leave you blissfully relaxed and ready for stargazing or early to bed.

An excursion further into the national park with raft-boat lake tour and a visit to a cave is included. A second optional day excursion is available.

Julie Seibt

Julie Seibt works with movement, stillness, and breath to help her clients discover a refreshing sense of ease. Julie’s passion is to inspire others to listen to their inner wisdom as they journey down the path to optimal wellness in each stage of life. As an Asian bio-energetic therapist, master Reiki teacher, and Thai massage therapist, Julie brings a holistic, compassionate, and mindful approach to wellbeing.

Julie’s credentials include Anahata yoga teacher certification with Anne Douglas, advanced training and certification in iRest® Yoga Nidra, and teacher's training with Sarah Powers for Yin yoga and Susi Hatley-Aldous for yoga therapy. She studies mindfulness under Steven Smith and Michele McDonald, teaching movement classes to support a meditation practice at their Vipassana retreats in Thailand and Hawaii.

Khlong Saeng Wildlife Sanctuary is a remote, pristine lake in the interior of Southern Thailand.

The food is comprised of wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables from the jungle and local markets, and fresh fish from the lake. Meals will be mainly vegetarian with fish, and occasionally chicken. Fresh drinking water is readily available.

Arrival by airplane

Fly, at very reasonable rates, from Bangkok to Surat Thani (URT) in 1 hour. From the airport, there will be a group transfer vehicle waiting for you to take you to the Wildlife Sanctuary Headquarters. *There are also flights from Bangkok to Krabi and Phuket. Special arrangements would have to be made for pick up from these airports. Body Mind Ease Therapeutic Yoga suggests you arrive and depart with the group if you can.
