This very unique yoga adventure retreat offers much more than a vacation. The 9 days will help you open your heart, tap into your inner power, and bring you new energy and vitality. Escape the winter blues by both flourishing and rejuvenating with this vitality adventure yoga retreat.
You will stay at Finca de Vida. The eco-style accommodations include hilltop cottages and private cabin rooms. There are four types of accommodation that you can choose as listed below.
Each room sleeps up to 4 guests. The facilities are 2 queen beds in each cabin, private bathroom, outdoor shower, and balcony.
It sleeps up to 2 guests. The facilities are queen bed, indoor bathroom, and balcony.
It sleeps up to 2 guests. The facilities are king bed or 2 twin beds, private outdoor bathroom, and balcony. Two rooms are available side-by-side.

This retreat is a balance between self-healing and adventure, and between Reiki sessions, massage therapy, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, and nourishing food.
You will trek 1,5-2 hours up winding trails amongst the pristine cloud forest and rainforest overlooking spectacular pacific coastal views to this incredible jewel of the jungle, Diamante Verde (Green Diamond), surrounded by 1,200 feet of cascading waterfalls. You will find the Casa de Piedra (House of Stone) or as the locals call it The Cave.
Once inhabited by indigenous people, this amazing open air cavern is set behind twin 85-foot waterfalls and features a full size kitchen and comfortable sleeping quarters. You can enjoy some activities while at the cave including hiking to crystal swimming pools, cliff jumping, and exploring nearby trails. Invigorate your sense of adventure! This is a nature tour with some of the favorite guides who are experts at the local plants, medicinal, culinary, and poisonous.
Costa Rica has plenty of stunning waterfalls but probably the most spectacular are the Nauyaca. Set in the tropical rainforest, with two sets of falls measuring a combination of 61-meter (200 feet) tall and large natural pool for swimming, Nauyaca is the ideal place, not only for those in search of tranquility and nature, but also for adventure and excitement lovers. You will enjoy peacefalls / swim with lunch at a local Tico family.
Yoga Alliance RYT 200 (Hatha Yoga)
Andrea began practicing asana (the physical practice of yoga) in her early 20′s as a means to open her tight overworked muscles after years of training for both marathons and triathlons. Her first experience with yoga lit up her life and offered a method of training in a new way. Her practice continues to evolve by drawing inspiration from many different forms of yoga particularly Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Power.
This retreat will take place at Finca de Vida - Farm of Life, Costa Rica in the southwest costal region, near the Pacific Ocean and halfway between Dominical and San Isidro. This beautiful, peaceful, and remote location is the perfect backdrop for your journey to wellness. At an elevation of 2,000 feet, the hotel sits atop a lush green valley with outstanding views of the Pacific Ocean, pleasant temperatures, and cool breezes. It is an organic farm situated on 37 pristine acres of fruit orchards, permaculture gardens, and old-growth forest. The hotel is located in the South Pacific zone of Costa Rica, 45-minutes from Dominical Beach and San Isidro.
During your stay, you will be served 3 daily vegetarian meals (raw and Ayurvedic gluten-free).
Please book your flight to San José International Airport (SJC). Body and Balance will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price. You need to arrive at San Jose by January 24, the transportation to retreat leaves at 8 a.m. on January 25. You can book flights home from San José International Airport (SJC) on February 3. The retreat ends on February 2, the transfer back to San José International Airport (SJC) will be by 5 p.m.

"All my life I've loved high-impact sports such as tennis, running, and step. However, they’ve taken a toll on my knees and I was worried that my active days would be over. I enrolled in Andrea’s yoga for athletes class for the first time in 2008, and I swear it’s given me many more years to enjoy my favorite activities. The deep stretches have increased my flexibility and protected my joints. Her instruction is always clear, motivating, and fun. In fact, I enjoy her approach so much that this year I’ve enrolled in her iron yoga program, which give me greater core strength and balance. By adding these two classes to my regular activities (spinning, tennis, and dog-walking), at the age of 51 I feel as though I’m in the best all-round shape ever. "
