She left the medical practice six years ago in search of more holistic ways of existing, healing, sharing & affecting the lives of others. After practicing yoga for over 17 years, it has now become her healing tool for herself & her students. She weaves her wisdom & extensive experience of mindfulness, meditation & deep self enquiry into all her teachings. "Amazing place with wonderful people "
Yan is an amazing person and a really authentic yoga teacher. I've participated in the yoga retreat organized by her in Bali, UBUD. I had a good feeling and I felt her positive energy from the very beginning. She has wide knowledge and a lot of experience which she can also transfer to her students. Apart from group activities we also had the opportunity to have one to one session, where we could discuss personal needs and she was always open and available to answering any questions at any time. The whole retreat was well-organized, not just the yoga classes and the workshops (I liked that each workshop focused on a different aspect of yoga) but also the accommodation, food (super delicious, vegan and organic) and common programs, like trips. I would repeat it for sure and I highly recommend this retreat or any other workshop organized by Yan. :)

"Inspiring and Educational"
The time spent in Villa Inspirit with Yan was an experience I will never forget. I gained knowledge and understanding. I learned new tools that would deepen my practice. Yan is an incredible teacher with a beautiful soul. She embodies the yoga philosophy and she is constantly thriving to understand the pathway she has chosen. She is refreshing and inquisitive and true to her path. She has remarkable knowledge of the human body and teaches in a way that is intriguing and interesting.
My favourite part was the anatomy and in depth understanding of the body and how it works.
She has a beautiful way with words that make you really connect with your body.
The Villa was lovely and peaceful. The food was incredible. Yan catered for my dietary needs and made the whole food experience unforgettable.
Ibu the main cook was creative in making the food taste memorable. I have never experienced such remarkable tastes with such simple food.

"Amazing yoga and meditation immersion in the jungle of Ubud"
Yan is an exceptional guide and truly lives and breathes the practice. She gently supported us to surrender to our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual edge and break through our self defeating limitations. If you get the chance to practice with her I would highly recommend!! The setting was spectacular and deeply peaceful. The food was delicious and sourced from fresh, local ingredients. All in all a life changing experience.

"Amazing and transformative week"
You will immediately feel the positive energy when you are around Yan. We spent a total of 2 hours on breathwork and meditation, followed by 1-2 hours of asana practice and a 2-hour workshop everyday. The experience is profoundly challenging yet satisfiying. I was patiently guided to explore various types of meditation techniques from candle gazing, mindfulness meditation (by labelling our thoughts), japa meditation, yoga nidra, visualisation meditation, humming bee meditation and so on. These are all powerful tools to combat my negative thoughts, and save me from being emotionally overwhelmed. I have also gained greater awareness in my practice, where I was taught to respect my practice and my body, it is what it is. Instead of attempting challenging postures that my body is not ready for, I've learnt to step back and work on building a stronger foundation. I have learnt so much more in a week than I had in a year. The healthy vegan meals were all consciously prepared with love, simple yet delicious. If you want to learn more about yoga, come to Yan's one-on-one homestay, you will leave with a smile on your face knowing that there's endless possibility in the journey of yoga, this is only the beginning. "Home stay with Bodhini"
Just spent an amazing week with Bodhini Yoga! Tan is a patient teacher who is sensitive to her student's limits. She does a great job of gently pushing you and your practice further. The week is full of Vinyasa flows and I found the workshoping to be especially helpful in understanding alignment. Every night and morning you focus on a different type of meditation and Tan focuses on a variety of pranayamas to bring into your practice. She is also a great cook! This is a wonderful opportunity foe you to take your practice to the next level. Thanks Tan!!
