In addition to owning and operating Blue Lotus Yoga Retreats, Jennifer is the founder and editor-in-chief of MN YOGA + life Magazine. She currently teaches groups, individuals, and people in corporate settings, and has also taught at resorts as a visiting Fit Bodies Inc. fitness professional. Jennifer presented as a Minnesota Master at the Minneapolis Yoga Conference in April 2016, and holds a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Psychology. Jennifer is eager to offer the transformational potential of yoga and travel together.

      Jen has become one of my favorite yoga instructors! She helps make a "judgment-free" class for all attending a session. I may not be the most-advanced yogi, or smallest person in the class, but I always free welcome and comfortable.

      I really like how she takes the time at the beginning and end of each class to help us find our breath and still our minds, which is so important to a good practice. Personally, I like how she gives you time to flow through a series at your own pace and breath. I just close my eyes and lose myself in the poses.

      Oh, and I should not forget to mention her awesome playlists and scalp massages! All this explains why I have to sign-in almost 2 months in advance to secure an open spot in her classes.

      Because of Jen and her style of teaching, I have learned to love and enjoy yoga as well as to be patient, kind, and accepting of my own body's current state of being. As Jen is guiding the class through poses, she gently teaches us why we do this or that pose, the importance of breath, how all of this helps the body. She offers alternative poses for those who have physical limitations that we are working through. I truly get the sense that Jen loves yoga, loves to teach yoga, and loves her students.

      I am almost 60, overweight, and have arthritis throughout my body, but thanks to Jen's calm and sincere style, I have stuck with my body and have found my joint pains are all but gone (as long as I do my yoga) and my overall attitude being much lighter - yoga has moved my spirit you might say. Yoga was a game changer for me. However, without Jen as my teacher, I doubt I would have continued. Sometimes we just need that special someone in our corner.

      Jen is an amazing yoga instructor. She makes everyone feel welcome no matter your fitness or flexibility level. Jen's classes are invigorating and relaxing at the same time. She does a great job at adjusting your poses to maximize your yoga experience. She also has the ability to keep your mind focused on your practice and away from daily distractions. To top it all off she does an amazing scalp massage at the end of class. That is the icing on the cake. After taking Jen's class I feel more flexible, stronger, and satisfied.

      Being new to yoga, I didn't know what to expect when I first walked into Jen's class. Instead, I found the motivation I needed to get back into my workout routine. Jen creates a room where you can escape the noise from the outside world and focus on your own personal goals. I look forward to her yoga classes weekly. Her yoga room is full of positive energy, where the only limitation is how far you are going to push yourself mentally and physically.
