Blue Indigo yoga retreat center is located 10 minutes away from Siem Reap’s riverside. The center is designed as a spiritual retreat center. The center comprises of comfortable wooden cottages, every 30 square meters with a big ceiling fan to keep the atmosphere cool, a mosquito net, and a lovely bathroom attached. The cottages are in quiet space with trees and flowers for a lovely atmosphere. Note, this is not ‘5 star Dubai’ type accommodation. There is also a shared dormitory but they are not mixed. Your daily program will include yoga and pranayama, meditation, deep relaxation, lectures, one time- temple area sessions, blessing ceremony.
The exact schedule may vary depending on the season and the teachers they will have at the time, however, as a guide, the below example is what you can expect during your stay here.
A dedicated yoga practice involves respecting a set of ethical principles, which are called Yamas and niyamas in the yogic tradition. They help to clear the mind and establish a solid foundation for your daily routine. It is strongly encouraged that you respect those principles as they will also create a balanced group energy during your retreat.
Siem Reap is renowned for its magnificent temples. As the largest religious and spiritual monument known today, the area has a unique culture and vibration, with deep roots in Theravada Buddhism. You will experience that spiritual culture while practicing at the center or in the countryside, under the shade of centenary trees and archeological wonders.

Breakfast and lunch are shared in the garden and are seen as a social occasion, a chance to bond and share stories with fellow guests and teachers. These are mainly Khmer dishes, vegetarian, with seasonal fruits and vegetables.
On your spare time, you can take bike rides through the following sites:
A 45 kilometer mountain bike ride to visit the Angkor Wat complex through the less travelled roads. From the south gate of Angkor Thom, you will start an adventure ride on the hidden paths towards secluded temples. You will then continue to reach the majestic west gate of Angkor Thom, followed by the Bayon temple. Explore the fascinating lush rainforest along the way by visiting Preah Khan. You will immerse into the jungle temple at Tanei and Taproom before returning to the Blue Indigo Retreat yoga center. A sunrise tour is available for the journey above by starting at 05:00 a.m. daily. Minimum 6 persons.
A 25 kilometer mountain bike ride to visit the Angkor Wat complex through the less travelled roads. No traffic! From the south gate of Angkor Thom, you will start an adventure ride on the hidden paths towards secluded temples. You will then continue to reach the majestic west gate of Angkor Thom, followed by the Bayon temple. You will pause in the most beautiful areas to meditate and practice mediation and yoga before returning to Blue Indigo Retreat yoga center.
A 25 kilometer ride having a fun time in rural areas by experiencing a genuinely different atmosphere. You will ride among rice fields, vegetable farms, haycock, local markets (testing local delicacies such as fruits and cakes), experience daily village life, and rest in a Buddhist pagoda. You will then continue to the Arthnear pagoda where a twelfth century temple is settled inside (temple pass not required).
A 40 kilometer mountain bike ride along the Siem Reap river to reach Tonle Sap lake and along the way, you will see the green rice fields, lotus farms, vegetable fields, haycock, local markets (tasting local delicacies), experience daily village life, and rest in a Buddhist pagoda. You will refresh with coconut juice drinks. Then, after crossing a lotus field, you will reach the Tonle Sap and go for a boat tour to see the floating village. You will then visit the Arthnear pagoda where a twelfth century temple is settled inside (temple pass not required). You will meditate in this magical setting before returning to Blue Indigo Yoga retreat center.
