During your stay with us, you will have daily morning yoga sessions before learning to Stand Up Paddle (SUP) and improve your skills in addition to taking time to pamper yourself in an enchanting environment that will revitalize your body, mind, and spirit. Water Women and Fitness ONeill Icon, Audrey Meyer will guide you through daily Fitness, Stand Up Paddle board, Yoga4SUP and even kitesurfing (if you like to try).


SUP, the fastest growing water sport in the world, is quickly becoming one of the best core workouts. A strong core is the foundation for strength, endurance, and good health. Yoga4SUP is developed by Audrey Meyer, the first class of its kind in the Dominican Republic. The 90 minutes class is a work out on the boards comprised of basic and more challenging yoga moves. The paddle board makes a fine yoga mat and the extra balance required by being on the water intensifies the yoga routine.

Kite surfing / kite boarding

Cabarete is one of the best places in the world for year-round kite surfing. The flat water on the inside is perfect for beginners and advanced riders who are working on their latest moves. On the outside are nice glassy waves breaking on the reef about 200m offshore. These waves are usually breaking between 1/2m to 2m depending on the time of the year.


Blossom Retreat teaches a type of Vinyasa yoga flow which is energizing yet easy to follow. This style of yoga flows through yoga poses linked one to another guided by the breath. Flowing sequences of sun salutations, balance, standing, seated, and core strengthening postures are designed to sculpt the body, improve flexibility, increase coordination, and muscle tone while making your spirit happy.

Holding some poses longer to deepen awareness of alignment in more advanced variations, will give better flexibility added by the breath in lengthen poses and arm balances. Moving meditation in action, fully enjoying the moment with the ocean horizon as a focus point.

  • 07:30 - Yoga warm up on the beach, healthy snack served
  • 08:30 - Stand up paddling (SUP), surf, yoga4SUP (depending on weather conditions)

  • 12:30 - Massage or just chill out in the beach
  • 13:30 - Kite boarding, 3 hours of professional lessons or just chill out on the beach
  • 17:30 - Evening yoga or fit class
  • 20:00 - Dinner

From 3:00 p.m.

Guests should check in before 5:00 p.m. Thursday, before the retreat starts. The first evening yoga starts at 5:30 p.m.

Please book your flights to arrive on the first posted retreat date and to depart on the last posted retreat date to and from Puerto Plata Airport (POP).

Course information

The retreat is available to single or group travelers with all level of yoga, standup paddling, and surfing. There is no previous experience needed. The participant must be a good swimmer, in good health and physical condition, and free of injuries.

Seasonals information

The country is in the Northern inter-tropical zone. The temperature is pretty mild at above 74F all year round. As for the wave season, the winter is the best time. %Rain normally comes in November and fair weather is expected for the rest of the year.

Electricity information

Dominican Republic follows American standard of voltage (110 volt).

Limited space in shared and private accommodations are available, please book your reservations early to receive preferred accommodations.

Passport / visa

Bring a current passport, valid at least six months before expiration, to enter and leave the Dominican Republic. There is a 10 USD visitor fee for all US citizens, paid at the airport upon arrival. For non-US citizens, visa requirements must be fulfilled prior to the trip.

Audrey Meyer is regarded as one of the most influential female water woman of our time. After being crowned Queen of the Ocean in a surfing, windsurfing, and kite surfing triathlon, her success motivated her to share her passion and inspiration for the ocean. She continues to explore her love of surfing and life through her creative inspiration, awareness, and health.

Fitness instructor and Yoga For Surfers certified instructor, Audrey, is a stand up paddle fitness professional. Owner of Yoga4SUP, she will take her workouts to the water, and help you improve your paddle technique and have fun. She enjoys motivating and inspiring other people to achieve their individual health and fitness goals.

We were 5 people, each of us at fairly different levels, but everyone was able to train efficiently at its own, under Audrey's really professional guidance and cheering. Definitly something to recommend to people who'd like to burn some energy and feel good. Icing on the cake, you find some deliciously fresh coconut water + breakfast, just a block away from the class-room, way to kick off a good day!"

    "I came to Cabarete to have an active holiday and also to relax. I thought surfing with a bit of yoga on the side would be a good combination until I discovered Audrey's Yoga4SUP, which brings both together and is a great exercise on the water. Paddling out into the ocean on an early Sunday morning was wonderful and doing the postures on the standup-paddleboard was fun and challenging at the same time. I really liked how Audrey took care of the group, making sure everyone was comfortable on the board. The clear instructions she gave made the class easy to understand and the best part was the final relaxation on the open water. Something I will always remember and I am sure it wasn't my last Yoga4SUP class, especially with Audrey Meyer, a great inspiration and motivation being in her presence!"
