Prepare to bring some fresh air into your yoga practice. Yoga and hiking complement each other perfectly. Hiking is great for the heart and lungs but can create tight muscles and tenderness in the leg joints. With the addition of yoga to help loosen hamstrings, build flexibility, and strength, deepen breathing and improve mobility means that one exercise will fill the gaps left by the other so your health and fitness has an overall boost!

Nurture your body with two daily yoga sessions before breakfast and dinner. The yoga sessions combine Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, and Yin yoga to improve your strength, flexibility, and range of movement. Morning sessions focus on simple flowing sequences to stretch muscles and open joints whilst we synchronise breath with movement so that your practice becomes a calming moving meditation. Evening classes are more restorative where you will hold postures a little longer using the breath to move deeper within, helping you re-connect with your inner peace. Suited for keen beginners, those with a lapsed practice and intermediate yogis.
Stretch your legs and get ready to walk quiet lanes passing orange, lemon, and avocado groves. With a good reasonable level of fitness you can enjoy the moderate hiking. Build your flexibility and strength while enjoying breath taking views passing through stunning mountain scenery and out across the bay with coastal walks.
14 kilometres coast and country guided walk would be the first hike. Walking the peaceful scenery lanes of the local groves will be the perfect time to meet the group.
Classified as moderate, you will be walking off the beaten track along an undulating route passing a local Buddhist community hidden in a beautiful valley locally known as “Valley of the Buddhas”. Enjoy the awesome views while delighting with a nice picnic lunch.
Walk at your own pace the 17 kilometres of amazing coastal views. Using the provided maps you'll find yourself discovering incredible scenery of the midst of a beautiful bay and the rugged mountains.
This retreat will take place at the unique country setting scenery of a former olive mill hotel located on the heights of the town of Altea, Alicante. Altea is a lovely Spanish town, considered to be one of the prettiest in this region. Sheltered by coast hugging mountains that tumble to the sea, the weather here is warm all year. You will be staying near to the ‘old town’ of Altea – the historical heart of the town with it’s breath-taking views out across the bay, cobbled streets, and delicious selection of tapas bars, artisan studios, and boutiques. This really is the perfect location for a yoga and hiking retreat holiday.

The Michelin listed kitchen creates delicious vegetarian and fish dishes for you whilst the lovely hotel owner, Vincenta, brings fresh eggs from her hens and bakes a fresh cake each morning to add to the fantastic buffet breakfast spread. During this retreat, you will be served with pre-morning yoga light ‘breakfast’ of fresh fruits and herbal infusions. A three-course vegetarian suppers at the hotel with refreshment. During your stay, you will have two evenings where your taste buds can explore local restaurants. One of these evenings a group meal would be organised at a local restaurant, your attendance is not compulsory nor complimentary, join if you fancy. In case of food allergies, you will need to advise Blissful Retreat so arrangements can be made to accommodate special dietary needs. Please note that the meals that are not mentioned will be on your own.
Please book your flights to arrive at Alicante Airport (ALC). A group transfer service is offered. They will aim to leave the airport between 11:00 and 13:00 on arrival day and arrive back at the airport on the final day for midday. The transfer takes an hour and costs 40 EUR per person.
