During this holiday, you will be staying in a beautiful condo. You can share the condo with one other person or chose to stay by yourself.
The city of Cartagena is located on the northern coast of Colombia, in the Caribbean Coast Region, and it is the capital of the Bolívar Department. It is the fifth largest city in Colombia and the second largest in the region, and is known for its colorful, colonial architecture, beautiful, warm weather year round, access to crystal waters and beautiful islands, and unique cultural experiences. It is certainly a feast for the eyes and the belly!
Arrive Monday afternoon in Cartagena and take a taxi to the condo, where you will meet your fellow travelers, unpack, and relax. You will share a welcome dinner and have a meet and greet.
You will start the retreat with a breakfast cooking class. Here, you will learn healthy options that go beyond the usual oatmeal! You will have some time to relax by the pool and then you will have lunch. After lunch, you will have the afternoon to explore on your own. Meet back at the condo for an afternoon fitness class. Then, dinner will be served.
You will wake to a morning yoga class to get the day started. After a delicious breakfast, you will have the rest of the day to relax and explore. Go on a free walking tour, head to the beach, or just walk around. Have lunch in the city before you meet back up at the condo for an evening cooking class and dinner.
Today, you will either go on your guided city tour or a snorkeling trip to the surrounding islands. Each excursion will last about six-hours. After breakfast, they will pick you up and whisk you away for a morning of fun! In the evening, you can relax with a wholesome dinner. If you are feeling up for it, you will have yoga or fitness class.
You will start the morning with a high intensity fitness class. Then, you will enjoy a nourishing breakfast and some time to relax before a lunchtime cooking class. You class will show you quick and easy recipes you can take for lunch and how to utilize leftovers to create brand new meals. You will have the rest of the afternoon to do as you please. In the evening, you will have a yoga session and enjoy alight dinner.
After a delicious vegan breakfast, you can choose what you want to do today. It has been a busy week, so the schedule is open. If you need help with cooking grains or veggies, if you want to discuss incorporating a fitness program into your schedule, or if you want to learn inversions in yoga Christy will be at your disposal.

Please book your flight to arrive at Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG). Once you arrive at the airport, you will take a private taxi to the private condo where you will be staying.

Cartagena has a subtropical warm climate year round and it has an ideal temperature for daytime comfort. Its climate is generally dry and mild, with two defined seasons. The dry season lasts from December to April, with abundant sunshine, and occasional nighttime freezes.
December is a warm month and days are often sunny and humid, between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, so layers are best. Be sure to bring appropriate clothing for warm weather with you. You should also bring comfortable walking shoes, such as thongs or sandals. A hat, visor, or bandana is advisable. Comfortable clothing for walking and fitness clothing for yoga and fitness classes is recommended.
You must have a valid passport that does not expire for at least six months prior to the trip. Please check with your home country to make sure you may enter Colombia with a travel visa. Citizens of the United states do not need a visa.
You should be up to date on routine vaccinations while traveling to any destination. Some vaccines may also be required for travel. Ask your doctor what vaccines and medicines you need based on where you are going, how long you are staying, what you will be doing, from which country you are traveling.
Everything is affordable in Colombia. Be sure to have extra money for food, drinks, gifts, clothing, and anything else you may want to buy. The best thing is to use an ATM rather than bringing money to change. Many places only take cash.

Christy Morgan, known as the blissful and fit chef, has worked in the natural foods industry since 2002. In the early part of her career, she was a chef for celebrities in Los Angeles and published a cookbook. Her mission is to show that a whole foods vegan diet can be delicious, easy, and will bring more energy and bliss into your life! Christy became obsessed with fitness post-30 and is now a NASM certified personal trainer and yoga teacher spreading the message that you can be strong and thrive on a plant-based diet.
This program is designed to help you get off addictive foods that are not serving your greater health. The diet will consist of gourmet plant-based meals, with recipes you can prepare at home. You will be cleansing and may experience a detox depending on your current diet but there is no deprivation on this retreat. During your retreat, you will get to eat plenty of delicious foods while learning the tools needed for continued success.
You can book spa treatments at an additional cost during this retreat.
During the free time you will get, you can explore the surroundings and see everything Colombia has to offer.
