During the retreat, you will stay at Bali Mandala Resort, Singaraja, Indonesia. Mandala is a metaphor of wholeness, which inspire Bali Mandala Resort to be an open place of hospitality for people who seek for restfulness in a breathtaking nature, meaningful conversations with inspiring people, and insights into the enchanting Balinese culture. Arriving here is like crossing a threshold into a world of tropical beauty and abundance.

The resort has a private beach and the traditional Balinese style bungalows which are nestled in a tropical garden. Each room is lovingly decorated and has a verandah from which you can enjoy the beauty and abundance of nature and listen to the sound of the sea.

Each room is fully equipped with all facilities you need, including a charming and private Balinese outdoor shower called “Mandi”, where you can listen to the palm trees rustle softly in the wind.

Bungalows and rooms

Bali Mandala Resort has 11 individually designed bungalows with 16 lovingly decorated rooms in typical Balinese design captivated by their natural simplicity. Tasteful furnishing and colorful fabrics highlight the beauty of the natural environment and allow you to feel instantly at home. All rooms are equipped with fan and mosquito nets as the beauty of the tropical garden and the soothing sound of the Indian Ocean are best enjoyed from your own spacious veranda.

Restaurant and lounge

The restaurant is located by the lava beach and provides stunning views of the Indian Ocean. Indulge in Asian delicacies with buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner while enjoying the simple beauty of the seaside and palm grove around you.

The lounge is located on the ground floor below the restaurant. It is very cozy and provides free Wi-Fi. The lounge also offers fresh coconuts, delicious homemade cakes, cappuccino, and other coffee specialties as well as fruit juices, lassies, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.

Meditation hall

The heart and center of the Bali Mandala is the mediation hall which has 120 square meters with a stunning ocean view. Constructed in the shape of an octagon with a typical tall Balinese roof, large glass sliding doors, and cool terrazzo tiles, the meditation hall enables you to have a pleasant indoor climate during your yoga and meditation practice.

Other facilities

Enjoy your stay while resting on Bali Mandala's lounge chairs under the shade of tropical trees, daydreaming, or watching the ocean and the neighboring fishermen. You can also refresh yourself in the spring water pool, play badminton or table tennis, or just relax in the resort.

Blessed with Yoga Bali Yoga Retreat Program

The yoga that you can experience in this program is influenced by Jivamukti yoga, a gentle flowing yoga style. You will exercise with music, meditate, and deal with the philosophy that lies behind the asanas. The meditations are taken from the rich treasure of Buddhism, which is a science of mind. The teaching method will be based on the physical condition and fitness of each individual.

You will start the day with a cup of tea or hot ginger water, then start your yoga practice with gentle asanas to wake up the body and mind and then slowly intensify the practice to boost the metabolism, improve flexibility, and stamina. Afterwards, you will move into pranayama and meditation practice which will be added to your physical practice in a more subtle way. Philosophical topic which will be based around the fundamental question, who am I, will provide the framework for each class.

This program is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced yogis. You will be fortunate to enjoy the individual attention from two experienced teachers during each class for your guidance and personal assistance.

As a part of the retreat, you will meet one-on-one with a personal yoga trainer. Once is prior to the retreat to discuss your individual needs and wishes, then once more during the retreat for a more targeted yoga and meditation session. There is an option for additional yoga sessions in your free time. If you are interested in this option, please discuss it with the trainer.

Morning program

The morning classes will prepare your body and mind for a relaxing day. They will not just make you feel good but also help you to understand your yoga practice in a wider context. The yoga classes are followed by breakfast, free time and lunch. There will be plenty of time in the morning and afternoon for leisure.

Evening program

You will end the day with a short evening session with meditation, yoga Nidra, or other relaxation techniques before you enjoy your evening dinner.

Stefanie has spent three years studying yoga, meditation, and philosophy in the homeland of yoga, India. She is particularly inspired by the Buddhist approach and its diverse meditation techniques. She had a great fortune to intensively study with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and is happy to share her studies with the world.
Jana Pohlmann
Jana has been trained as a professional dancer, massage therapist, and yoga teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience in different countries. She has spent most of the year in Bali and will help you to feel at home. Her approach to the state of yoga and the experience of unity is through working with the body on its different energy levels.

The meditation and yoga retreat will be held in Bali Mandala Resort, Singaraja, Indonesia. Surrounded by Bali’s biggest palm grove, Bali Mandala Resort lies on the fringe of the small Balinese village Bondalem, a small fishing village nested into the largest continuous coconut grove on the north shore of Bali.
