    Healthy-ish success 📿✨💪

CONS Cons: I think I paid the same $ as bootcamp members but took 1/3 of the classes they did? Might want to see a reduction in costs for yoga only. It was very pricy all in (beach front room + transportation + drinks and fresh cocos 4.5k)

PROS Pros: I came here for a reset (Not to exercise my brains out like some do) But I did take yoga ~2/day. The rooms were so authentic and so were the staff. I loved Natalie and Darlene and Kun. And the yoga classes were 💪👍 The grounds and beach beds/cabanas were amazing and so much better than beach chairs. The optional trips and shaman ritual bad Mayan healing massage were also tops. The food was 90% awesome and so were the skinny spicy margs (bc who can go on vaca and NOT have margs) Also had a great group hat were there same week. Legit ladies had a great time.

"Stayed with my girlfriend here in August 2016 (low season) for two nights on an Expedia deal, and it was a great capper to our time in Tulum. We had air conditioner, which with the heat was essential, is only available between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., which got us out onto the beach earlier than otherwise. Also, the rooms aren't powered during the day. Both are probably normal for the Hotel Zone in Tulum. Staff was great and super friendly and the beach is incredible. The coffee isn't very good, but for the price we got, we'd probably stay here again!"

"My favorite small Tulum beach hotel. Great rooms and beds, hot water, nice rest and plenty of seating with beach views. Some rooms with AC at night. Friendly attentive staff. Best part is that they have a shower to use, so you can stay the rest of the day after checking out. Pool too if you want. Non-stop yoga and exercise available if you want it."

"Just returned from a week at Bikini Bootcamp and it was amazing! All the trainers and yoga instructors were world class and all the events and logistics were well organised. Any complaint that was raised was dealt with right away. The location was stunning and the beach was amazing to run or walk on in the morning. I went as a solo traveler and met a great group of people. Would definitely recommend it if you're thinking of going on your own. If the cost is too much or you can't get a whole week away, there seem to be other options if you inquire, but I definitely recommend a whole week!"

"What an experience. The resort, the room, the food, the staff, the classes, the massages, the comraderie, the experience - all of it was incredible! Do yourself a favor and book a trip to Amansala. It's safe, it's beautiful, it's peaceful, but be prepared to unplug as there is limited cell phone reception, limited Wi-Fi connection (if any), and bring cash to pay for goods and services as there is only one ATM and I saw cards be taken from it."

"This is my second time to Amansala aka Bikini Bootcamp and this visit was even better than the first. I had to go to a wedding in Playa Del Carmen and this time asked my two girlfriends from California to join me for a fitness retreat and couple of great days on the beach at Bikini Bootcamp for workouts, bonding, rejuvenation, and relaxation."

"Though I tend to stay at four and five-star resorts, this is a welcome getaway in a rustic place that is in one of the most beautiful locations with white sand beaches. I love working out and coming to Bikini Bootcamp is a way for me to focus on me and spend time bonding with my girlfriends or my boyfriend while getting fit and eating well!"

"Classes are fantastic! I took circuit training and dance classes with Matej and he really helped to make my stay! He's got the best personality and is incredibly talented and pushes you just enough and is a ton of fun. Darlene is the manager and we took a yoga class with her which was incredible with the mayan clay on the beach. She has a soothing way of calming you and speaking you through the yoga classes and through meditations that are simply wonderful."

"I went running every morning and the white sand stretches of sand on the beach were always to die for. Though note that they had a bad seaweed situation for the past several months though luckily it recently cleared up and we didn't see any of it. The sunrises and sunsets were insane each day! Bring bug spray and lather it on if you tend to get bitten by mosquitoes. Tulum is a jungle, hence there are mosquitoes that come out at night. As long as I sprayed repellant, I didn't get too many bites. If you do tend to get bitten, bring benadryl spray or cortisone spray for any bites."

"For massages, Bryan is amazing! Me and my friends all got 80-minute massages from him and one of my friends went to him twice during a four-day stay he was that incredible for deep tissue. Maria Luisa is a great Mayan healer and Gabby was also another great healer that was very intuitive and gave massages that made us feel like we were on cloud nine after."

"Bring lots of workout clothes as you will sweat a lot each time you take a class! There is no air conditioner in the rooms though they have fans in the rooms and a nice breeze from the windows in the rooms at night. While we were there this past week, there was some construction as they are adding in new seating areas and loungers (good for anyone going later in December!). Also they are building an outdoor pool which is supposed to be ready by the Christmas holiday."

"You should definitely go off site to eat dinners outside of the bootcamp or get drinks at the neighboring places. You can just walk down the beach line or take a cab which is about 8 USD. Go to Hartwood and have someone stand in line for you at 3 p.m. when the res'n lines open as it's incredibly popular now. Also Posada Margarita has a great atmosphere and beautiful grounds and is just down the beach or a quick walk from Amansala. Go to Coco Tulum to have drinks on a swing! "

"All in all, the staff is wonderful at Amansala - though this is not a four-five star resort. This is a rustic place where you go for the beauty of Tulum and for fitness, yoga, relaxation, rejuvenation, and healthy eating. Whenever you go, you will meet individuals that go back again and again for this special experience."

"I didn't know what to expect with a week at Bikini Bootcamp. No, you don't wear your bikini to work out, but do bring lots of changes of exercise clothes as you will sweat a lot and often. The property is rustic but very comfortable. They are in the middle of adding a pool which will be a huge improvement. The Bootcamp is incredibly well run. I was lucky to only have seven people (I hear they can be huge) so we had lots of personal attention and customization. Also lot of great camaraderie between guests and with staff. They set up the classes for a 10 effort, it is up to you to back off as you see necessary. This is a place to work out hard and have fun. If you want to work out less hard, that's ok too, but that is up to you. They have safe exercises, they promote good form and Kate has awesome music. I highly recommend this with friends or just by yourself. It is a fabulous experience."

"I attended bikini boot camp with by best friend in march 2015. We stayed in a beach bungalow, even though you can not compare it with the four seasons and other high end resorts, the experience was just as good. Hip, eco chic resort on the beach. The food was healthy and innovative, so good I had to get the recipes before I left. The bikini boot camp itself was perfect, and we met a lot of really nice people we got to know. If I had the time, I would go here every year, to recharge my batteries. A perfect vacation, wouldn't have it any other way."

"I had a truly life-changing week at Amansala Bikini Bootcamp. I was looking for a resort to celebrate my milestone birthday (turning 40) and wanted a place and low key resort to revive and recharge my mind, body, and soul. I had heard about Amansala through a writer friend and she raved about the resort. I admit I was nervous to go alone on this trip for my special birthday, but it was exactly what I needed. I met the most incredible and inspiring people who have truly changed my life. The staff at Amansala is also so inspiring and has such wonderful energy including the founder Melissa. I loved the mix of activities, which included various fitness classes (SexyStrength, Zumba, Circuit training and more) and authentic Mexican experiences to cenote and the Mayan ruins. I loved the evening yoga classes in the studio that overlooked the Caribbean Sea.The fitness activities definitely push your limits, but it was such a good feeling to go out of your comfort zone and do things that you think you can't do but can thanks to the inspirational staff. The meals were so delicious and nourishing and my body felt so good eating healthy. I did have my own room (oceanfront) and listened to the waves at night which was so soothing. I came home with a glow and my body feels strong and healthy. I can't wait to go back to Amansala and plan to come to the resort again for a rejuvenation trip. Highly recommend Amansala!"

"I just returned from an amazing six-day adventure at Amasala. I can't say enough great things about my experience. From the moment you arrive, you feel peaceful. The grounds are gorgeous overlooking the amazing ocean! There are four very friendly yellow labs and we were fortunate to have arrived just five weeks after black lab puppies were born. So sweet!"

"My cousin and I came to bikini bootcamp not knowing what to expect. Not only is the atmosphere amazing and highly recommended, but the bootcamp is life changing for your body, mind, and spirit. The place has no air-conditioning, but a fan will be all you need. The view is gorgeous, since you are right on the water. Its a camp for adults with the spiritual touch. We had a group of 16 successful women all gathered to work on healthy eating and physical education and finding sense of peace and self. All of these needs were met in a beautiful part of the world. The staff was so kind and responsive. The food was gourmet and healthy. Not really a place for kids. More for women or adult couples."
