Alexandra believes that yoga and movement should be healing, fun, and a practice that will last you a lifetime. Alex is an anatomy nerd and self-care expert who helps students maximize their mobility to live pain-free every day. Her hope is to empower you to express the best version of yourself.
As a retired dancer, Jason is inspired by the movement and grace of the human form. He loves diving into anatomy, the psychology of yoga, and stress and how we can use yoga to improve not only our physical health but more importantly our minds and hearts. His personal joy comes from giving people the tools to cultivate stillness, look within, and explore their inner verse and find peace in a sometimes crazy world.
She believes that yoga should be a joyful, fun experience, an exploration of your body, your heart, and your soul. She hopes to inspire people to be more of who they truly are with classes that are welcoming and upbeat, where high fives and dance breaks are always encouraged.
Lynette believes that we co-create our lives and she wants to inspire others by living a creative, inspired life. In order to create and inspire, she believes we need to take time to restore. Lotus is a Kundalini yoga teacher, with over 500 hours of YTT ''yoga teacher training'' and is now a level 2 teacher. Lotus is certified by Golden Bridge yoga studio and taught by Gurmukh, who was taught for 35 years by Yogi Bhajan who brought Kundalini yoga from East of India to the West of California in the 70's. Lotus teaches workshops and private sessions through her lifestyle and yoga company Liniyoga. The yoga of awareness '' Kundalini Yoga '' is a science created to elevate our everyday life. Become one with your breath and have control over your thoughts and daily activities.
I have been teaching more than 20 classes a week in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada since 2005. I have taught and continue to teach individuals at any stage in their journey. I teach and practice many styles of yoga including ashtanga yoga, vinyasa(flow) yoga, Bikram’s(hot) yoga, hatha yoga, yin yoga, arm balances & inversions and more.
I have been teaching yoga over 30 years with a focus on movement and awareness to keep the body supple, strong and flexible. I enjoy guiding students to access their deepest inner strength through breath and movement. I’m also a serious meditator and guide students to a quieter place of peace inside. Discovering the power and depth of yoga is my passion and sharing it with my yoga students brings me great joy.
Located just a 25-minute drive from the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR), Beyond Yoga Retreat is a collection of 5,000 square feet, open-living villas perched on a hill, engulfed by lush, tropical vegetation, and overlooking the pacific. The villas have the feel of a modernist, luxury treehouse, the perfect environment to unwind, let go, and bask in nature.
Beyond feels like a remote jungle location but it is just a 10 minute walk from some of the bay’s most beautiful beaches. We are also a 20 minute walk (or a very affordable uber/taxi ride) to Downtown Puerto Vallarta, where you will find great restaurants, shops, and attractions.
Sharing a room and don’t have a roommate? Beyond Yoga Retreat will work to pair you up but may have to change your chosen room if they can’t find you a roommate in time for the retreat.
