L. Farrah Furtado

L. Farrah Furtado is Canadian-Portuguese and is a Yoga Alliance E RYT 500 Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher, author of three spiritual best-selling award winning books, and director of Kaohsiung Yoga School and Bend it like Buddha Yoga in Portugal. She has lived in Asia for over 14 years, studying the healing arts in Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan, Balinese healing with energy healing masters in Ubud, and has trained in the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa system and pranayama with BNS Iyengar, the lineage of Pattabhi Jois and Krishnamacharya in India. Farrah is a third degree Usui Reiki master.


Kanchen started practicing yoga two decades ago and has been teaching professionally for over 10 years, Kanchen has studied with many eminent teachers about asanas and adjustment and is well versed in Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and Hatha yoga. Kanchen has studied with Balaji Rao thombre and pranayama, mantra, mudra, and philosophy with Sri BNS Iyengar in Mysore. Kanchen has also won many prizes at district and state level competitions. She established and has been running successfully the BNS Iyengar Khrisnamacharya School in Mysore for over a decade.


Reshy has assisted and also led several 200-hour yoga teacher training programs in India and Thailand for different schools. She has registered her yoga school, Yoga Space, with Yoga Alliance and offers 200-hour yoga teacher training in Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga. Reshy trained in the discipline of yoga under two very experienced teachers, Sujata Nerurkar and Dr. Renu Mahtani at Param Yoga, in Pune, India, where she completed her foundation in Hatha yoga teacher training and medical yoga therapy in 2011. She trained further in Vinyasa yoga, prenatal yoga, science of pranayama, and Viniyoga.

BNS Iyengar

For any student who is truly interested in learning Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and learning all the philosophies and interconnected practices such as Pranayama, Mudra, etc., Sri BNS Iyengar is a gem. Sri BNS Iyengar is “the last link to the real deal”. He is the oldest living teacher of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. He carries an authenticity that comes with his age, background, and lifelong dedication to yoga. At the age of 87 he continues to conduct his classes daily with passion, humor, and inspiration at Mysore Krishnamacharr Yoga Shala.

Tori Mitchell

Tori Mitchell is an expert in Ashtanga Vinyasa and the founder and main instructor at Vibe Yoga, Taiwan. Her most recent background training is in the advanced teacher training in anatomy and adjustments with Arielle Nash at Centered Yoga in Koh Samui, Thailand. Tori Mitchell also studied Ashtanga Vinyasa with Manuel Ferreira, an authorized teacher from KPJAYI and also completed a two-week immersion with Iain Grysak in Ubud, Bali on pranayama, philosophy, and Ashtanga Vinyasa. She's trained in asana and pranayama in Mysore, India with the last living legend of Ashtanga, Guruji BNS Iyengar.

Mafalda Rodriguez

Mafalda Rodriguez started practicing yoga about 11 years ago and soon realized how yoga is transforming, how it brings people back to their center and allows them a universal and conscious view of life. In 2008, she completed the yoga course in the Samkhya Line by FLY-Lusa Yoga Federation and in these nine years of experience teaching, learning a lot and continuing to learn through her students' needs, and with the challenges she is encountering on the way.

Danni Cullen

Danni loves to teach and share… she is passionate about what she does as yoga had such a special effect on her life. It is rare to be in one of her classes and to not burst out in laughter, child-like giggles or even laughing so hard your crying with stomach pains! Her classes are strong, creative,and super fun! Most importantly, she teaches from the heart. At Bend it like Buddha Danni teaches Vinyasa, How to theme and sequence classes, Kids yoga, Acro yoga and Adjustment-Modification classes. She has taught in classes & TTCs in India, Bali, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

"Bad management - far from 200hours"

The two excellent teachers for Vinyasa and Ashtanga, Danni Cullen and Mattia Michielan, where the only good thing in this TTC and the only reason me and some other students did not drive home directly.

"A life-changing experience in the best conditions"

I started this training only looking to deepen my own yoga practice, and left inspired to not only to teach others how to cultivate presence, mindfulness and self-love, but also to never stop learning and opening myself to new sides of yoga. The course was extremely complete, with a strong ashtanga or vinyasa practice in the morning, a different pranayama and meditation technique every day, thought-provoking philosophy classes taught by the Italian-Indian sage that is Mattia Michielan, and a softer asana practice in the evening. With this packed schedule, we also had time to get a massage certificate - in fact those massage hours in the afternoon were a welcome relief for sore muscles! We were taken care of the whole time, with beautiful, healthy meals prepared by the Super Juice team, so we had lots of energy and focus for our practice.

"Amazing YTT Experience"

I just completed the 15 day June YTT 200hr program and all I can say is WOW. Farrah has put together an amazing program. Prepare to be spiritually enlightened!

The curriculum is an excellent combination of various styles of yoga, practical understandings of anatomy and adjustments, spiritual practices such as pranayama and meditation, and a good variety of teaching techniques.

Our group in particular formed an amazing bond allowing for some serious emotional breakthroughs and learning opportunities.

I recommend this training for anyone looking to really learn the spiritual side of yoga!

The food from Super Juice was also AMAZINGGGGGGG.

"Amazing, transformational experience"

The sequence of the sessions, the practical parts and everything is well organized. I enjoy experimenting different types of meditation. The body biomechanics, anatomy and applying it in the adjustment classes. The background and experience of the teachers is great. The love and energy they are putting in everything is great. I have really enjoyed the theory, philosophy and bio mechanics/ body alignment classes. The diversity of subjects is great and the opportunity to sequence my own flows is helpful.

Also the Ayurvedic therapy massage is great, the references to Ayurvedic Science and different meditations and pranayama.

I enjoyed being outdoors and close to nature when practicing.

I enjoyed the diversity of students and teachers. The co ordination of meals and ease of

the cooks for preparing special meals for several gluten free people, IBS, Vegans, and allergies....

The cooks alternative meals and everything freshly prepared were appreciated. I loved daily asana class

and the enjoyed the teachers experience and confidence in their lessons of asana, anatomy, pranayama and philosophy.
