We enjoyed the yoga lessons a lot and also the hiking experience. Your way of telling about yoga and your deep knowledge about the different postures and the impact yoga has made us enjoy your lessons very much. You have a very good ability to combine theory and practice of yoga and to highlight how some of the yoga and meditation can be used in everyday life. The hiking was a really nice experience, I love nature. Thank you for everything.

There are too many magical moments to mention. I loved Yoga philosophy as it was taught in an applied way for daily life and how we can improve our lives by applying the 8 limbs of Yoga. I have learned so much! The massage-anatomy modules were incredibly helpful as they apply to yoga postures and safely for beginners and injuries. Farrah's Yoga Nidra, meditation techniques and Pranayama classes have opened up a whole new world for me that I never knew existed before, thank you!! I received my Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Hour certification with Bend it like Buddha and Kaohsiung Yoga school. I loved pranayama and asanas the best. Understanding the postures, muscles and the benefits how to get into it and the benefits were great. I loved the pranayama a lot and especially the 6 breathing techniques we focused on and how it benefits the body and deepens meditation. Also, I love the variations of different modifications of the postures shown for students in pain, beginners and intermediates, and the variety of activities and techniques we learned the openness of the teachers and the liberal range of topics was always so interesting and wonderful! Thank you, Tori, and Farrah, for everything.

I loved learning the ashtanga series along with other variations of the series and different styles of yoga. The day was also balanced nicely with asanas, meditation, pranayama, meditation, therapy, theory, and philosophy. Philosophy, Reiki, and Ayurvedic medicine were some of my favorite topics. It was something new and also enjoyed learning more about business or career of yoga and how to brand yourself as a teacher and the studio branding modules. I also enjoyed practicing to teach as we learn each day, bit by bit.

  • Caitlin Canada

    Bend it like Buddha Yoga

I enjoyed learning yoga philosophy, history, and traditional ashtanga teaching. I really felt I was receiving authentic, pure teaching (the way it is taught in India). I really liked the way Tori and Farrah would teach us what their teachers in India taught them and their interesting stories. I liked the alignment modules and the teaching practice of what we learned each day-meditation, pranayama, and asanas.

  • Genevieve United States

    Bend it like Buddha Yoga

I really liked learning about the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa style. I learned so much throughout the course and I enjoyed seeing my physical and spiritual progress. And I enjoyed learning all of the pranayama techniques with Farrah and have already started teaching them in my meditation classes at my studio. I enjoyed learning. The massage techniques and all of the helpful tips and interesting discussions in Yoga Business class on how to start and brand a yoga studio. Very useful! Thank you Tori and Farrah for your wonderful teaching!

  • Rachel United States

    Bend it like Buddha Yoga

I loved how there was so much variety in all of the topics we covered. My mind and heart feel very full. I feel empowered and the teachers. Paced the lessons quite nicely, especially the modifications class as we learned 75+ postures! There was a nice flow to all of the classes. Every day I felt warmly received and comfortable. There was a nice balance of extremely challenging with extremely relaxing and restorative. I would recommend this course for everyone. Well done Farrah and Tori! I will recommend this RYT for anyone and everyone.

One of the main positives from the retreat that you helped me improve my confidence, I joined a yoga studio as soon as I got back to London and now I practice four times a week, Ashtanga Vinyasa remains to be my favorite. Also, you taught me a lot about the philosophy and history of yoga which has implications for everyday life. Your classes really focused on pranayama which really helped me realize the importance of the breath and how this maximizes the benefits from each posture. I enjoyed visiting the place where we did the moving meditation and the guest house was just perfect. I'd say the retreat was a lovely balance of everything. Funnily enough, I was talking today with a friend about the Tibetan bowl healing, that also was an amazing experience, one I probably wouldn't have chosen to do before, so it was great to learn and to gain new experiences.

I am glad to know that you are pursuing your way in teaching yoga. I really enjoyed your classes. When I arrived, I had just ended a really stressful, long, and demanding task, and the exercises with you really helped me getting some balance back. Of course, when the vacation days ended and I had to get back to work, things got more complicated. But some things remained; yoga is now more present in my life, and the same for meditation. I feel more aware, more present, and for now I am trying to keep this feeling and (slowly) make it grow in all the little things of daily life. As I said I really enjoyed your way of teaching yoga, both indoors and outdoors. The sunrise session at the beach was great, and also the yoga Nidra. Another moment I enjoyed greatly was the sound session with Mafalda. That’s one of the things that I am trying to explore and learn more, the healing sounds of the Tibetan bowls.

My sister whom I was traveling with had never done Ashtanga yoga but the teacher was very professional and also very receptive to her and all levels of skill. the class is 90 minutes. which is good to not feel rushed. the whole setup was very relaxed but so professional. It is a very reasonably priced for the beautiful space and high level of personal instruction. The only thing I would say is the studio is a bit chilly so bring a sweater or hoodie. I felt very relaxed but inspired at the end of the class. The teacher was amazing and very intuitive, very spiritual and I felt very aware and open spiritually after the experience.

I came across this studio as the weather wasn't great whilst on holiday. I contacted the studio via Facebook and was responded to very quickly. The studio is located to the rear of the main strip and so is very private. The instructor is wonderful, very experienced and insightful. If you like yoga and want to continue with some relaxation and meditation whilst on holiday I would recommend this studio.

I found this studio on facebook. Quick response and I was provided with all necessary information by the very sweet and welcoming teacher. A beautiful new and fresh studio just up the stairs from the beach. Mats and props are provided. Morning classes are also given at the beach, highly recommended! Fantastic experience! I had the pleasure of taking classes with the lovely and very skilled teacher Farrah and her guest teacher Kristen for two full weeks. The majority of classes was given at the beach, and was beautifully set up! The teachers cater to all levels and are very insightful and open to sharing what ever might be of interest for the participants. In addition to yoga, Farrah has extensive experience in meditation and pranayama (breathing techniques) and was very happy to share this with me, which was truly and amazing and eye opening experience! The teachers are very gentle and loving and take good care of the students, and are very flexible and accommodating in every way. I highly recommend Bend it Like Buddha for all levels, and all interest!

It is an awesome time and perfect location. The huts are simple as expected. However, there is a toilet and shower, also, a basin included. So that was surprising to me and really great. The beds are comfortable. I did not have Wi-Fi in my hut because I was too far from the reception desk. In the front ones, I guess there would be. The yoga lessons are awesome and the beach and location are really calm and clean. The only thing I was not so happy about is loads of dogs all around and especially during the night when they were howling so much. And a train seems to be going close by there, so there are quite a few sounds during the night. Get earplugs and you'll be fine! Food is awesome and fresh! The staff is great, fun, and helpful.

I taught a yoga retreat at Lotus and had the most amazing time. Manav, Smeeta, Rajul, and the team took such great care of us all. Nothing was too much trouble, they were always ready with a smile and did everything they possibly could to make sure everyone was happy. The customer service was faultless. The food was delicious! Again the wonderful meals we enjoyed every day were absolutely faultless. In fact, we wished we hadn’t bothered to have dinner out on the last night as the food was nowhere near as good! The location, right on Patnem beach was lovely, being able to just walk out of your hut and be on the beach was incredible. We loved being able to practice yoga looking out to sea with the sound of the waves around us. The huts are simple but comfy and clean. They have ensuite bathrooms and you can have a hot shower as long as you don't shower first thing before the water has had a chance to warm up. Patnem beach is just beautiful and still unspoiled, it's like Palolem was 12 years ago and I hope it will stay the way it is. If you want to get back to nature and love being on the beach, with the sand between your toes and the sound of the waves as you go to sleep, you will love this place. You won't find more helpful or friendlier staff and the food is incredible.

It was an amazing experience to spend a week at Lotus Oasis. This is one of the few places that I have discovered on my travels around the world. That one can experience peace, music, beautiful view, fun people, and great food at the same time. A true paradise with a bohemian vibe! The yoga teachers are very good and doing yoga or meditation next to the beach adds to the effect of serenity. I met some cool travelers during my stay and one week passed quickly. The bonfire and music nights are legendary! I congratulate Manav and his team for a fabulous job and will come back again for sure.

Really enjoy every single class we did at Lotus as all have different styles and all the teachers were extremely knowledgeable and offered very helpful corrections which deepened our practice! Slightly quieter than its neighbor not a bad thing as hence it feels more personal.
