Trekking boosts physical and mental wellbeing, connects one with nature, and manifests a calm mind as one leaves stressors behind

Bella’s role as a mountain leader and yoga instructor is to facilitate safety, support, and management throughout the experience. You work with a Nepalese guide named Raman and porters to carry your bag to make the trek a little easier on the legs.

This eight-day trek through the Annapurna Sanctuary is ideal for those interested in a fun adventure, meeting like-minded people, pursuing a health goal, wanting perspective on life, seeking more peace of mind and so much more.

Breaking habit patterns back home requires huge amounts of effort and focus when surrounded by familiar temptations and actions that don’t serve your long-term health goals; like habitually drinking too much, eating foods that don’t align with balance, or going straight to the TV after work.

It's very nourishing to be free of most of your responsibilities and stressors for a time and go back with a renewed sense of perspective, motivation, and clarity.

Time in a beautiful, calming environment allows space for you to gain perspective on your priorities in life, develop insight into what might be going wrong, and strategize how to manifest the life of you satisfied with and excited by.

Strenuous, suitable for anyone with some trekking experience and a good level of fitness. Steady acclimatization allows the body to heal and adapt to higher altitudes.

Bella Somerset

Retreat location

Nepal is a landlocked country between India and China, it has a population of 26.4 million, it is mostly mountain region but also has fertile flatlands bordering India (a bit politically contentious), 81% Hindu, 9% Buddhist, and it has eight of the world's 10 tallest mountains. Its economy is based on agriculture and tourism. It is the most amazing country in the world.

The food along the trail is delicious, nutritious, and mostly locally grown. There is traditional food on the menu of Dhal Bhat (rice, lentils, and curry) or western style foods have crept in – pasta, pizzas, rice dishes, potato dishes, eggs, muesli, porridge, pancakes. Bella can help guide you on choosing nourishing nutritious choices while also allowing you to choose whatever you want to refuel your body after a hard days trekking.

Meat is something that is avoided in the mountain as it can often make you sick.

All breakfasts included and lunch and dinner included when you're trekking in the mountains.

Water is not included. You can buy chlorine tablets, pay for treated water refill or buy water bottles. Bella advises chlorine tablets or water refill to limit the contribution to the waste disposal limitations in mountains in Nepal. Hotels in the city will have water refill areas.
