Amansala Resort Hotel Spa Tulum Mexico, located on the Riviera Maya, between the pristine blue ocean and the emerald green tropical forests and jungles, is nature in all of its splendor. It offers relaxed eco-chic accommodation like no other boutique hotel in Tulum. Rooms are spacious, with attention to detail throughout.

If you are looking to get away from it all, look no further, for this is your perfect beach-front holiday in Mexico. Amansala has been described as Robinson Crusoe meeting eco-chic, and is more like staying at a friend’s beach house than a hotel.

Bella Retreats Mexico Yoga Retreat Program

Using the mystical power of water as metaphor, you will explore the depths of your own creativity, unearth gems of inspiration, and manifest them as vibrant, magical works of art. Daily yoga will ground and center you, allowing you to connect to the wellspring of knowing, power, and beauty within each of us.

Techniques of intuitive painting will be introduced in daily art sessions to help you bring form to your inspirations. Elizabeth Gilbert’s book "Big Magic" will serve as a framework for your explorations into the mysterious nature of inspiration and creativity.

The art

The art is open to all levels. This is about unlocking and exploring your creativity. Yes, you can create a masterpiece with kindergarten art techniques. Finger painting, collage, stenciling will all be techniques that you explore. All art supplies are included, but please feel free to bring any of your favorite or special supplies.

Una Viggiani
Nosara Yoga Institute World Yoga Alliance (Yoga)
Una Viggiani is an artist, yogini, world traveler, and inspired instigator. She earned a degree in fine art from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and her master degree in education at the University of Denver, but ultimately learned the most by traveling the world on a solo journey that lasted two years and took her to 22 countries. While in Costa Rica, she discovered the Nosara Yoga Institute, which allowed her to become certified with Yoga Alliance, as well as find her new calling as a yoga teacher.
Wendy J. Pabich
Wendy J. Pabich, PhD, is a scientist, educator, speaker, adventurer, yogini, and artist obsessed with all things water. As a water scientist, policy, and planning expert, she provides strategic advice to help businesses and communities ensure water security. She has taught for MIT and the Sierra Institute, and has taken students to the wilds of places like Patagonia, the Himalaya, and Alaska. Her passion is finding new ways to communicate about water, using not just science, but installation art, painting, writing, and more recently, the mind-body-spirit connection.

Retreat location

Amansala Tulum is the perfect location for this retreat. Tulum is located approximately two hours south on the coast from Cancun. Famous for the spectacular Mayan ruins located on the cliffs of Tulum, it is a relatively undiscovered Caribbean paradise, with pristine beaches and clear turquoise waters.

The Riviera Maya offers endless possibilities to choose from: tranquil sea coves and bays to rougher more open ocean, transparent lagoons, and mysterious water springs, with landmarks and vestiges of a culture thousands of years old; or the world´s second longest reef which stretches from Quintana Roo to Honduras.

Amansala meals are fresh, plentiful, and delicious, and can be customized to fit your groups needs accommodating vegetarian and gluten free as well. The restaurant serves the tastiest mango margaritas in the Riviera Maya.

One dinner is not included in the retreat. This is an "off-site" dinner which allows participants to try one of the many amazing restaurants in Tulum.

Things to do (optional)

There is a variety of beach and water sports to choose from, with places offering all the infrastructure and services you need. Or you could take full advantage of your get away and simply relax on the beach to the ever-present rhythm of the waves.
