Accommodations at Dunagiri Retreat comprise of 14 rooms located within the estate on five cottages which are ethnic while being modern. All rooms are luxuriously sized. Minimalist and Spartan by design, their elegant and unpretentious ambiance allows you to connect with the breathtaking surroundings. All rooms feature spectacular native forest and mountain views, all cottages have a view of Mahavatar Babaji's cave.
Accommodations at Dunagiri Retreat are perfect for you to sit with a cup of chai or any one of their herbal teas, to snuggle up with your favorite book, or to gently withdraw from the outer world into your inner being. There are a total of 14 rooms, each room is different.
Rainforest has nine double rooms which are simple, rustic, and homely. Each room has its own character and picturesque view of Ganga beyond. All are having an ensuite bathroom with hot water and a room heater for the winter months and all are non-smoking. Four rooms on the first floor are with private balconies while the ground floor rooms have verandah sit-outs.
All the rooms are designed around a central court which has a big mango tree in the middle and a red court by the stream on one side. And no, there are no TVs or phones in the rooms.

Prashanti De Jager
From biophysics to EMT to Ayurvedic practitioner, to ethnopharmacologist, to ecological medicine activist, to a yogi and so much more, Prashanti’s study and practice of full spectrum wellness has been continuing since 1985, including ten years immersed in India with incredible Vedic science. Prashant is one of the founders of Organic India, the Pacific Center of Ayurveda, the Kailash Vedic Guild, a founding trustee of the Dunagiri Foundation Trust, and has a rewarding teaching schedule that takes him far and wide across this good Earth, from Bohemia to Manhattan, to Uttarkhand, to Goa.
Somah Devi Ma
In 2011, Somah went to Rishikesh, India for a month where she was given the rare opportunity to study privately, one on one with him. She continued her yogic education in the years to come by expanding into Ayurvedic medicine, the science of life. That path took her to the Himalayas months at a time, learning about rare herbs and visiting essential oil distilleries. Somah continues to study with Anand and travels through out the world as an importer of organic and wild-crafted oils. She is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher E-200 RYT and 500 RYT and a master aromatherapist.
This retreat will take place in Dunagiri, Haridwar, and Rishikesh. Haridwar, the holy city, is one of the most renowned pilgrimage centers in India. Pilgrims from all over the world flock to this sacred city to take a dip in the holy waters of River Ganga.
All meals will be vegetarian. Rishikesh is considered a vegetarian town so please be mindful of this cultural practice, should you decide to bring any product that may be considered meat in origin. Also, there's a cafe serving simple and lightly spiced vegetarian food. House meals are served for lunch and dinner and a simple menu is available for breakfast items and drinks. Your meals are included in the price.
