During this retreat, you will be staying at two accommodations including The Francis Residence - Fort Cochin in Kochi and Udayagiri Rejuvenation Retreat Center in Tholpetty.
The Francis Residence is incredibly energy and material efficient and a surprisingly comfortable house. You will live in houses or stay at hotels with minimal carbon footprint and one day you are all going to become fully aware of the fragility of the planet and all the energy you can save in an effort to preserve it.
Six rooms at this modern residence are well designed for your ease and comfort that feature a concierge, baby sitting, bicycle rental, barbeque facilities, local sightseeing tours, and much more. Tastefully designed rooms and suites blend the traditional with the modern to provide comfort and luxury to the traveler.
The Udayagiri is a peaceful haven for rare birds, butterflies, wild orchids, and herbs. This place is a gift of nature for those who seek quietude, calmness, and serenity of the mind. In Udayagiri, they have other amazing activities such as meditation, yoga trekking, bird watching, and so on.
On this women’s wellness retreat, you will experience and learn:
This is the arrival day into Cochin International Airport (COK) in South India. You will have a welcome circle and dinner.
There will be morning yoga and meditation followed by an exploration of Fort Cochin’s historical sites, free time, and intention setting.
You will travel by air to the Ayurvedic retreat center. Enjoy lunch and attend the afternoon orientation followed by evening puja blessing.
You will practice daily puja, pranayama, mantra, Hatha or Yin yoga, yoga Nidra, Japa meditation, reflective journal writing, massage, Ayurvedic treatments, doctor consultations, wellness workshops, satsang, and kirtan.
There will be closing puja followed by the closing circle. You will drive back to Cochin International Airport (COK).
Please note that you will also have a 30-minute schedule doctor’s appointment and a on-hour scheduled Ayurvedic treatment daily. All activities are highly recommended and participation is encouraged but not compulsory.
On the second day of the retreat, you will enjoy an exploration of Fort Cochin’s historical sites.
Belinda is an experienced yoga teacher and facilitator of international yoga holidays. She has spent more than 20 years living and studying the cultures and traditions of Asia. Her passion and enthusiasm for the spiritual tradition of yoga are enhanced and complemented by her down-to-earth, easy delivery teaching of this ancient philosophy. Belinda has a particular interest in developing opportunities for people to come together and learn the system of yoga as a tool for total well-being.
This retreat will take place in Kochi and Tholpetty, Kerala, India.
You will be provided with welcome dinner in Fort Cochin on day one, daily breakfast in Fort Cochin on day two and three, and three daily organic vegetarian or vegan meals and unlimited herbal tea at Udayagiri Mountain Retreat on day four to day ten.
Experience daily Ayurvedic herb-based body treatments including massage, steam baths, facials, and other methods.
