This retreat is a perfect opportunity for beginners or advanced yogis to enhance their skills and get inspired while traveling and experiencing Costa Rica. There will be daily yoga, morning and afternoon. The classes will focus on areas such as breathing, strengthening, and stretching, which in turn will help refresh your body and mind.
The retreat will take place at Believe Lodge, two minutes from the beach and in one of the best spots of Santa Teresa. The place is surrounded by tropical gardens and nature. There is a very nice chill-out common area where breakfast is served every morning. The yoga deck is one of the main points of the lodge, with enough space for 16 yogis and a very nice view of the pool and nature all around.
Believe Surf and Yoga hosts both surf and are yoga travelers so the lodge has that one-of-a-kind of vibe for solo travelers who like to socialize and share their experience with others. All private rooms are air-conditioned. Some of them feature a king size bed, while others feature full beds and single beds. There is also the option of staying at the spacious shared dorm room with enough space for eight travelers.
Believe Surf and Yoga's program will start each day with breathing exercises followed by an energetic morning practice. Thereafter, you will be served a tasty breakfast before you go out and explore and enjoy beautiful Santa Teresa. In the afternoon, there will be another calming and soothing yoga class that will help release any built-up tension.
You will arrive at Santa Teresa, check-in, refresh yourself at the swimming pool, and enjoy the first sunset at the beach and a dinner with the retreat group.
An opening morning yoga practice is followed by an energizing breakfast. Then there is free time for you to rest and enjoy the swimming pool before the afternoon yoga practice.
You have the option to attend a Vinyasa class in the morning to heat up and strengthen the body. After the class, you will enjoy breakfast and free time before the afternoon yoga practice of stretching and relaxing the body.
Believe Surf and Yoga suggests taking a surf lesson, going for the canopy tour in Malpais, or exploring the rainforest from a zip line. Morning yoga will be any-how taking place so you are welcome to join. You can also join the 6:30pm yoga class after sunset.
Your breakfast will be served from 07:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and Believe Surf and Yoga will try to fully adapt to your departure schedule.

Malpais is a small fishermen town. They take off every morning from the small natural port searching for the catch of the day. Take a full morning off, enjoy a wonderful journey along the coasts of Malpais and Cabo Verde Natural Reserve, and be part of the fishermen crew for some hours. And of course, you can have cooked the catch in the evening, or you can just practice sport fishing.
You can take a stroll along the seemingly endless white sand beach or visit some nearby national parks such as Cabo Blanco National Park and Cabulla National Park. You will see amazing tropical trees and flowers, exotic fruits, monkeys, red foxes, boas, and many birds.
Nothing compares to running a horse along a tropical beach, watching the sunset on the horizon, or making a tour in the jungle, on the beaches, and into the mountains.
You can enjoy scenic kayaking in the Pacific ocean or paddle up the close by rivers, exploring the jungle and its wildlife. Catch fish from your kayak and explore the steamy underwater volcanoes below you during your tour.
You will spend your mornings or evenings watching the howler monkeys traversing the beautiful vegetation on the accommodation surroundings.
A few minutes away from Santa Teresa, there is a magical spot surrounded by pure nature. You will enjoy the waterfalls, fresh water, and wonderful small town to hang out after the refreshing experience.
Stand up paddle is an exciting sport that is a true full body workout. Enjoy an alternative to surfing by using a paddle. It is easy to learn and suited for all levels of skill.
Just a four-minute walk from your bungalow is the beach and a famous surf point. Santa Teresa beach has some of the best and least crowded surf in the world. You have choices to the north and the south on the beach. The water is always warm and the waves are always big enough. If you want to learn, you can take private lessons for any level.

Please book your flight to arrive at either Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) or Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR). You can take a 25-minute flight from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) to Tambor Airport (TMU) in the Nicoya Peninsula. Once in Tambor Airport (TMU), you will be picked up with a taxi, 45 minutes ride, which costs 60 USD plus tax for a one-way trip.
If you are flying to Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport, also known as Liberia International Airpor (LIR), you will have to take a land shuttle to Santa Teresa (seven hours). This service requires a minimum of two passengers to depart and usually costs 55 USD plus taxes.
The direct land shuttles depart from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO), take up to seven hours to arrive at Santa Teresa, and cost 50 USD plus taxes for a one-way trip. They leave Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) early in the morning, around 8:00 a.m., and arrive at midday. This shuttle will take you to the port of Puntarenas on a ferry to Paquera, and from there all the way to Santa Teresa. In case you need to stay overnight in San Jose, you can arrange accommodation and breakfast with the shuttle service for 95 USD plus taxes per guest (one-way trip).
