Yoga at BE Yoga Retreats

Often, you will find yourself rushing around trying to fit too many things into your life, leaving little time to devote to your own well-being. A yoga retreat gives you the opportunity to step back from your busy life, reflect, and let go of tension and anxiety, as well as to help you physically tone and strengthen your body.

There are many different forms of yoga but they all descend from one tradition, Hatha yoga. Hatha meaning sun and moon, or opposing energy, and yoga meaning to unite. Yoga ultimately brings balance, it unites minds and bodies so that you will feel whole and complete.

  • Elise Beechen

Originally from Devon, Elise is a qualified teacher of yoga and dance and holds the United Kingdoms's highest qualification in sports and remedial massage. Elise has been practicing yoga for over ten years and since becoming a group fitness instructor in 2006, she has coordinated and taught fitness programs in health clubs and resorts across the United Kingdom and Europe.

This retreat will take place in Glastonbury, United Kingdom.

"I loved it, it was a great day of yoga, good company and lovely refreshments. It was a really interesting theme and you had clearly done lots of preparation to help make the Koshas accessible to us. I always enjoy learning some yoga philosophy and tying it into the asana, pranayama and meditation. I thought the venue was perfect. So quiet, with good facilities and appropriate space for us to practice. Thanks so much for a lovely relaxing day (I slept so deeply that night!)."

"My family and I had a fantastic week in Carcassonne, France, with BE Yoga Retreats! Elise is an amazing teacher and her lessons catered perfectly for the different ability levels amongst the class. We also had one-on-one lessons with Elise to improve technique and develop a personal home routine, which encouraged us to keep up the yoga at home! The back massage, foot spa treatment, and Indian head massage were exceptionally good - Elise managed to diffuse the hip pain that I've suffered from for a very long time! Bob, Cathy, and Becky were perfect hosts and hostesses and we felt that nothing was ever too much trouble to ask. The food was exceptional and the location fantastic - we are very grateful to Elise and her family for all their hard work as we had an incredible week and came away feeling relaxed and a lot more flexible! Keep doing what you're doing guys!"
