Amor, Paz, and Jaguar Hall provide room for 4-10 students per building. All guesthouses have lake views, and some are located up in the trees like tree houses. Blankets, pillows, and sheets are provided for each guest.

Yoga classes will be based on Hatha yoga, anatomy, and alignment. Masie Barefoot-Judson

Masie, 200 CYT, has been teaching yoga classes, workshops, meditation, and retreats for over three years. You can find her most days in her community-based yoga studio, Barefoot Yoga, assisting her students with their own yoga practice. Her teaching styles include Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and everything in between. Masie uses her time to focus on yoga alignment and anatomy, and enjoys teaching imagery and states of deep relaxation.

Lake Atitlan is a sacred sight for the local Mayans and offers a journey of healing and insight, off-the-grid and on the land. This retreat allows each person the opportunity to join a group setting for learning, asana practice, and the availability for private or free time. Take a swim in the volcanic lake, named Pachamama by the locals, or do some Karma yoga with Silvio, the gardener and permiculture-specialist. There is a small library of books and many guests spend free time on the dock reading and sunbathing.

"I have just recently found barefoot yoga studio. Let me start by saying I had very little previous experience and Masie made me feel comfortable and welcome. The few classes I had at other studios pale in comparison to the awesome teachings at barefoot. Masie keeps everyone flowing yet we are all free to move at our own pace. The classes also have a great variety of poses and Masie's knowledge of body mechanics is phenomenal. There is no pressure and the overall feeling and experience is like taking yourself to the spa for an hour of self-indulgence. Its the perfect break for my day. Thank you!"

"I love this little place! The instructors are really sweet and give you a great class. I think the schedule has a lot to offer for everyone - no matter where they are in their practice. They are super accommodating if you have special needs or wants (a benefit of a locally owned place!) and it's in a cool/quirky space. I love the old hardwoods and double room of the studio. I've done two classes so far and can't wait to do more! And they even gave me some delicious green tea at the end."
