During this retreat, you will stay either in shared or a private room. The Atlantis Hotel is a historic property that has been restored with a chic decor but elements of the property's past have been tastefully incorporated. All rooms have king beds, air-conditioning, beach towels, a ceiling fan, a desk with a chair, hairdryers, locally-made soaps and toiletries, cable television and iPod dock, a safe, and a sitting area.
This room is a lovely, spacious space with a four poster, king-sized bed with luxury linens. All coastal view rooms have a sitting area with sofa bed that is great if two persons wish to share a room but require separate sleeping space. These suites enjoy coastal vistas however, they do not have direct ocean views. These suites also have a large walk in shower within a large bathroom, granite counter tops, and a dressing area.

The two bedroom cottages offer stunning ocean views from the patios as well as most windows. Of the two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a queen-sized bed while the second bedroom has two single beds which can be combined to make a king size bed. This cottage is ideal for a two couples of friends wishing to share a space for the retreat as it can sleep up to four adults. The cottages are equipped with a kitchen, a dining and living area, and are situated alongside the swimming pool and mere steps from the ocean.
During this retreat, you will experience seasonal, local, and sustainable all-organic ingredients like mother nature intended. This is a celebration of the freshness of the abundance in nature vibrating in every cell in your body and creating a minimum impact in the planet.

Manuela is an international gourmet raw food chef who travels the world teaching workshops, hosting retreats, and consulting for restaurants. She splits her time between her native Brasil and Barbados. As a certified raw food chef from the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute and also a certified yoga Instructor, Manuela infuses her Brazilian heritage into her culinary delights creating an unique exotic experience.
This retreat will be held at The Atlantis Hotel in St. Joseph, Barbados. The hotel is nested in the rugged Atlantic coastline of Barbados and is a family owned operated hotel in an idyllic location for those who appreciate the simple pleasures in life and the raw beauty of nature.

During this retreat, you will be served three daily raw food meals. You will indulge in gourmet raw and natural cooked meals every day, topped by a wide variety of juices, herbal tonics, beauty elixirs, and decadent raw chocolates. Manuela Scalini and her team will be pampering you with a wide variety of wholesome, fresh, and simple dishes that are not only pulsing with life but are also a feast for the eyes. You will explore exotic flavors and herbal remedies that will trigger all your five senses.
Explore the island's beautiful coastline with the best view possible. Catamaran cruises are a wonderful way to spend the day soaking up the warm Caribbean sunshine. Cruises include drinks, cocktails, and a buffet-style lunch. Take a dip, snorkel, and swim with the turtles during the catamaran's stops along the shoreline or simply enjoy listening to the waves or music while you sunbathe on deck.
A favourite surfing destination for many of the pros, the Barbados coastline offers an array of exciting reef and shore breaks that can be enjoyed year-round.
Crane beach is located on the southeast coast of the island and is arguably one of the best in the world. Located below a cliff, it’s much more accessible than it seems and makes for a great afternoon with family and friends.
Farley Hill Park, set within 17 acres above the sea level, provides an excellent atmosphere for picnics. The grounds contain well-manicured lawns, tropical gardens, a play park, and the impressive ruins of the Farley Hill great house.
These picturesque gardens located on the northeast part of the island provide a unique experience for visitors to enjoy the lush foliage and vibrant tropical flora set within a natural gully. The multi-level garden connected by easy-to-walk pathways, creates a magical setting filled with private corners, beautiful statues, and classical music floating on the breeze.
Juju’s beach bar is one of the best spots for a relaxing day with toes in sand and cocktail in hand. It’s a fun hang out for tourists and locals alike, offering a delicious selection of food from the beach side barbecues and cold drinks. The spot is ideal for swimming and boats often moor offshore on weekends providing a bit of a party atmosphere. There is also a nice boutique next door selling women’s beach attire and accessories.
The Nidhe Israel synagogue, originally built in 1654, is the oldest synagogue in the Western Hemisphere. It has been beautifully restored and is adjacent to the Nidhe Israel Museum, tracing Jewish history in Barbados and its contribution to Barbadian society.
This wonderful plantation house built in the 7th century, has been beautifully restored and stands as one of three remaining Jacobean style mansions in the western hemisphere. You may explore the house, surrounding gardens, and working sugar cane mill and distillery.
The east coastline of the island is on the Atlantic Ocean providing quite a contrast to the Caribbean coastline on the west. With dramatic cliffs, long stretches of sand, and often epic waves, the rugged east coast is a magnet for surfers but its abundance of rock pools make it a favorite with families too.
This historic plantation house, also known as “Bush Hill House”, was home to a young George Washington and his ailing brother, Lawrence, in 1751. Barbados is the only country George Washington visited outside of the United States.
This beautiful gully, located in St. Thomas, was once part of a plantation owned by William Asygell Williams, who planted exotic trees in the gully over 200 years ago. It is said that the grapefruit, which originated in Barbados, hails from Welchman Hall Gully.
