Program

What is this weekend about

The purpose of the program is to disconnect from everyday routine, to perform yoga in the embrace of nature with a view of the beautiful Alps, to learn about the meditative effects of supper, to overcome its abilities from yoga to soup and to socialize with active people that connects everyone with love for nature.

Everyone wants to travel far, but at the same time all forget that Slovenia is wonderful and that everyone do not know enough. The weekend will turn you into tourists as there will be planned walks around the surroundings of Bohinj and the Soča valley.

You will listen to nature, recognize the transient river channels, perceive the will of the wild flowering meadow, taste typical local delicacies, and be filled with energy.

You will stay under the stars as you stay in Triglav National Park on your first day. You will be at a camp near Lake Bohinj, so you can refresh yourselves with SUP sessoons before breakfast.

Who is this program for?

The program is intended for all nature lovers. Your yoga teacher, Amanda, knows how to practice yoga perfectly with different levels of yoga experience, so the program will excite both regular and occasional yoga practitioners. Experience with SUP is not necessary, as long you have knowledge with swimming.

The red thread of the program is a balance - both on water with SUP, in yoga mat, and in personality and life. Therefore, all yogists and lovers of the active way of life are invited to learn about new practices and experiences that would survive a calmer weekend in the heart of the Triglav National Park.

Yoga practice

Hatha yoga, which is the oldest and widespread type of yoga in the world, is carried out. The exercise includes elements of asana, pranayama, wise, deep relaxation, and mantra concentration techniques. The emphasis is on correct and precise execution, retention and awareness of yoga positions, awareness of the breath and state of mind. Exercises such as ribbons, cubes, pillows, which help to correct, deeper, and above all, safe yoga practice, are used in the exercise.

Itinerary

Day 1: Saturday afternoon on Bled

Departure from Ljubljana is at 3:30 p.m., You will be picked up at the airport and you will head towards Bled. You can also opt to meet everyone at the location in Bled. You will then have yoga sessions in Bled. Do not worry and be bother by Lake Bled. You will have a short walk to an idyllic location overlooking the lake, where you will have sunset yoga session. Disconnect from the modern connected world and connect to Wi-Fi with the name of genuine nature. After a session of yoga, you will head towards the Triglav National Park, settle in your tents, and get to know each other better.

Day 2: Sunday at Bohinj Lake

The early sun will awaken you. You will have sun salutations that will awaken your chakras, with added elements of Vinyasa yoga so your souls will be propelled to awaken the whole body.

After breakfast, there is an SUP hiking trip. You will start with a cognitive hypothesis that simply explains the basics of SUP that will make the first SUP experience the best. You will walk away from the banks, reach out to the middle of the lake, where you can enjoy peace, relax with views of the mountains and test your balance with equitable challenges that make the experience really fun! Stand up paddle boards will also be available in the afternoon so that you will be able to squeeze as much SUP practice as you can!

In the afternoon, a short walk to the Savica waterfall or to a viewing point overlooking the entire lake is planned - depending on the fitness and engagement of the participants. Then, there is an optional practice of yoga, with which, after a busy day of active activity, you will stretch your body and spirit. For dinner, you will go to a local restaurant where you will taste typical dishes for this area.

Day 3: Monday in the South

In the morning, you will pack the tents and after the breakfast you will take the train to the Soča Valley. The experience of traveling with a van through the tracks through the wrapped tunnels is interesting!

Soča is definitely one of the most beautiful Slovenian rivers, which with its turquoise green color almost shock. You will descend past bridges and cliffs into the undiscovered part of the river, which is only accessible by the river. In the canyon, you will find a relaxing spot where you will get to know the practice of SUP yoga. You will get to know the refreshing yoga type and upgrade your skills to perform yoga on a less fixed basis.

After a refreshing yoga, you will visit one of the most beautiful Slovenian waterfalls Kozjek, which is easily accessible, but in a very interesting way. You will observe how with each step the forest changes around you. The bravest ones will face cold shower at the end of the walk, which will awaken all parts of your body.

You will then ride across the high Alps, breathe high-altitude air, observe the glittering sun in the summits and find your zen over 1600 altitudes. After that, you will be taken back to the airport and you will be in Ljubljana between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
