Join yoga teacher Myria Zanetti for a week of yoga and meditation amidst the tranquillity of this off-the-beaten-track island paradise! As with all Bamboo yoga holidays, it’s a chance to develop your practice whilst being in a safe, supported space with like-minded people. This week will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!
Glaros Studios and Apartments is a stunning Greek apartment with comfortable beds, ensuite bathrooms, and doors that open out onto the beautiful terrace, and the beach is just a short stroll away! Glaros studios apartments are located on the northeast side of Antiparos and are no more than 100 meters from the sea and a secluded stretch of sandy beach.
The main village of Antiparos, with its narrow, cobbled stone alleyways and streets, white-washed houses decorated with thriving pink and purple bougainvilleas, and shadowy eucalyptus trees, is also within a 10-minute walking distance. Bamboo Yoga Retreat has chosen May which is outside the main tourist season when flights to Greece are cheaper.
Find serenity on the beautiful island of Antiparos with a daily cleansing and uplifting morning yoga practice including meditation, mudras, mantras, and a beautiful asana practice for all levels. The afternoons will be all about letting go in relaxing Yin and Hatha yoga flows, getting to know your true self through Hypno yoga, recharging your batteries in yoga Nidra, guided meditations, and finding inner peace through mindfulness practices.
During the course of the week you will also have the option of learning to make beautiful mala prayer bracelets and dreamcatchers. There will be plenty of free time too to soak up the sunshine, explore the island and make new friends or to take some quiet time out for yourself.
An early-morning boat trip (weather depending), is included in your retreat package.
Myria has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years, and after years of corporate life decided to make her passion a profession. She has been a yoga teacher for 10 years, starting out by teaching classic Hatha yoga in Rishikesh and moving on to practice Ashtanga with the Jois family in Mysore and Kino McGregor. After teaching power yoga styles such as Baptiste and Jivamukti Yoga, she has extended her practice to incorporate techniques that are designed to promote tranquillity element, by qualifying first as a mindfulness teacher and then as a hypnotherapist.
The retreat will take place at Glaros studios apartments, Kalargyrou, Antiparos, Greece. Antiparos is a small picturesque island at the heart of the Cyclades group of islands in the southern Aegean, which is known for its distinctive beauty. Antiparos is situated less than one nautical mile from its larger sister island of Paros, to which it is connected by a local ferry. The island offers over 60 kilometers of stunning shoreline and is blessed with crystalline emerald waters, golden sandy beaches and other extraordinary natural wonders such as the famous Cave of Antiparos.
You will be served daily early morning breakfast (teas, fresh juice, and fruits) and a delicious buffet-style substantial brunch. You will also be offered afternoon tea and snacks. Dinner for the night of arrival and leaving will be served at the retreat center.
There will be plenty of free time too to soak up the sunshine, explore the island and make new friends or to take some quiet time out for yourselves. You will also be free to explore the village of Antiparos, which is only a ten-minute walk from the retreat. The venue’s host Susanne, who spends the summers on this stunning island, will be happy to show you around and make recommendations of local tavernas and other eating places.
You can avail holistic treatments offered onsite throughout the week for an additional charge.
