Your accommodation will be at Balance for Life Retreat Center, right on the beachfront whereby you can sit back with your favorite beverage and watch the sunset beyond your peripheral vision. You can choose to book a private single room or twin room.



No matter what your age, meditation is one of the easiest ways to improve your health. Research at the Medical College of Georgia found that meditation lowered blood pressure and reduced the risk of heart disease and stroke. Additional studies have demonstrated meditation can reduce chronic pain, decrease levels of stress and pain in cancer patients, and reduce symptoms in patients with fibromyalgia.

Other studies have indicated meditation may reduce the levels of cortisol, a hormone that in high levels can weaken the immune system and slow down healing. Results from a small study conducted in 1998 with patients suffering from psoriasis lesions indicated meditation can speed up the body’s natural healing process. Some studies have even suggested meditation can help in the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. Carole is a qualified meditation teacher. Her teaching methodology is to ‘keep it simple’ starting at the basics and then progressing at an achievable pace.

What is Restorative yoga?

Restorative yoga gives you the time in asana (pose) to open the body with the use of supportive props and correct energetic action. Classes also include pranayama (breathwork) to encourage an even deeper state of awareness.

Juice cleanse (Optional) - please advise at time of enrolment if you’d like to do the cleanse

The juice cleanse is by far the most important food for the day. It contains all the base living nutrients that your body needs to naturally clean, repair, maintain, and energize your body. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices are the heart of the cleanse process. It is from fresh fruits and vegetables that we get the most potent living nutrients that are responsible for repairing, cleaning, and rejuvenating the body.

Daily schedule:

  • 06:30 Optional sunrise breathwork and meditation
  • 08:00 Breakfast
  • 09:00 Free time and/or massage
  • 11:00 Restorative yoga class
  • 12:30 Lunch/Cooking class
  • 13:00 Free time and/or appointment with the food coach and/or massage
  • 17:30 Sunset beach walk and Restorative yoga on the beach
  • 19:30 Dinner
  • 20:30 Free time

During this retreat, you will be served delicious and healthy meals. There will also be a cooking class for your lunch meals. Balance for Life will always make ‘healthy bliss balls’ however if you like to snack then please feel free to pack some of your own ‘special’ snacks. For safety reasons, Balance for Life Dundee Unique Retreats is unable to accept guests who have a fatal allergy to any foods.

Balance for Life Dundee Unique Retreats is not equipped to serve separate meals and as the closest hospital is two hours away, they prefer not to put anyone at risk. Balance for Life Dundee Unique Retreats will make every effort to accommodate food allergies (for example, gluten, vegetarian, and more), and they will do the best they can to cater to your needs.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 28% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 30 days before arrival.
