You will be accommodated at The Abbey. It is a small retreat and conference center, a grade-one listed medieval building with 20th century guesthouse, nestled in four acres of gardens and woodland.

It is run and managed by a small core residential community, within a spirit of warm hospitality and collaboration with those that come, helped by two or more volunteers who are often from other countries, interested in community, alternative life styles, and improving their English.

The Abbey Sutton Courtenay is a registered charity with aims and ethos. It is an intentional community and holds a space for spiritual development, education, exploration, and transformation of community, as well as being a center for workshops and events for the public.


You will practice meditation, pranayama, and gentle Vinyasa flow yoga in the morning. After brunch, you will have plenty of time to reflect, relax, read a book, write a journal, or take walk in the nature if the weather allows. In the afternoon, you will practice Restorative or Yin yoga followed by yoga Nidra, a deep relaxation.

Didcot Parkway is the nearest rail station, a 40-minute train journey from London Paddington.

Taxis can be booked from Didcot Parkway, about 10 minutes' ride.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
