"Bagus Jati is an amazing place!"
Everything was amazing from the people to the food to the accommodation. I could not fault this place.

From my first contact via email right through until my drop off for my departure every single interaction with all the staff of Bagus Jati has been the most wonderful experience.
The location , accomodations , yoga rooms , spa facilities , pool and gardens are spectacular , I think that they are more impressive when you are there than in the photos.
The yoga instructors are all magnificent with each of them teaching and passing on their knowledge of yoga in their own individual style and tailoring to your needs and skill level.
The Spa girls are truly professional , making you feel so very comfortable and at ease explains all the processes of the treatments with an eye for detail and such kind , considerate and caring nature.
The restaurant staff are all wonderful kind and professional , remembering your likes and name as well as showing genuine concern when you miss a meal ( when you forgot to let them know ) how lovely that they notice and how awful did I feel when I realised.
The Gardeners always working away all day in the gardens which are truly magnificent and always ready with a smile and wave
All the house keepers, buggy drivers and drivers should not go without mention either as they also ready with a smile and conversation.
Front desk staff also wonderful
Communication within Bagus Jati is exceptional
I would have no hesitation in recommending Bagus Jati and I would like very much to return one day

"Nice retreat in an amazing and tranquil setting"
The scenery and peace are unlike anywhere else. The staff are extremely friendly and smiling and doing everything possible to make us comfortable. Cooking class and bicycle tour were great fun and we learnt a lot about bailanese culture. The breakfast was delecious and healthy, and the set dinners were tasty as well. The spa treatments were relaxing and there are several options to choose from.

The location was heaven on earth. The Spa services were amazing and the customer service was incredible. Everyone I came on contact with made me feel extra special.
The yoga style practised/ taught was Hatha yoga. So it is very calming and focused on pranayama and basic poses. The retreat space was breathtaking and calming and to practice Hatha yoga correlates with the space. It was a great space to unwind and detach. I highly reccomend Bagus Jati if you are looking for a little piece of heaven on earth.

Un lugar paradisiaco, inmerso en la naturaleza. Perfecto para desconectarse. Destaco la atención del staff del spa. Gente realmente entrañable.
I stayed 5 nights and loved it! The staff were all so friendly. The hotel itself is quite a bit away from Ubud, which is good if you're looking for a quiet out of the way experience. The morning yoga was run by local Balinese, which I really enjoyed. It's targeted for people with some experience of yoga, but complete beginners can still join in. If you're quite experienced you may find the yoga a little slow.
Bagus Jati also run other free activities, I particularly enjoyed the nature walk, which included walking around the local village and seeing inside the temple and a local house. They also organise paid activities, I can really recommend the spring temples tour, since I went in the low season I ended up having the guide to myself.
The food was great and there was a good mix of Indonesia food, healthy western food (including raw mouse, cake etc) and other options like pasta and burgers.
The main draw card for staying here though is the stunning location which overlooks a river. There's nothing like waking up to a wall of lush green forest with butterflies, birds, dragonflies and frogs all around you!
If you're looking for tranquil luxury, you've found it. In the Ubud countryside sits this paradise. The rooms are to die for, the staff are the most humble, grateful, and beautiful people. The food is amazing. Go, you deserve it.
Was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I'm really not into yoga and meditation but I really enjoyed the cooking class and the bike tour around the village. Loved the Indonesian food on the menu too, I am obsessed with the Lawa Pakis!
