7 nights at Le Pianore villa

  • The villa is composed of two villas, each with separate spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and living areas both indoors and out. You will have ample room to settle in and make yourselves at home. There is Wi-Fi, a small library to peruse at your leisure and a satellite television in an upstairs family room.
  • There are a variety of room choices for single, double, triple, or 5-person loft occupancy. All rooms have bathrooms en suite, except for two singles, which share an adjoining bathroom.

This retreat takes place at the Le Pianore villa and organic wine farm in Tuscany, Italy.

Jen and Harriet will guide you in an energetic morning practice including asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), and relaxation. The afternoon and evening sessions will include Pranayama, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and insight into yoga philosophy. On the first day of the retreat enjoy the Tuscan hill towns upon arrivial at Le Pianore. One day will be for the first excursion to Montalcino for exploration and lunch. The second excursion is at Pienza/Montepulciano.

Arrive at Amerigo Vespucci Airport, Florence (FLR), Galileo Galilei International Airport, Pisa (PSA) or Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, Rome (FCO)

Arrival by train

Train is easy from all major airports in Italy into Tuscany or wherever you want to travel.

Arrival by taxi

You may also consider renting a car at the airport if you want to be more independent with your travels.

September typically offers nice, warm weather without it being too hot. However, there are always exceptions or dry spells that cause a few days to get really warm.

Mobile / communication information

Wi-Fi for email is available at Le Pianore and most hotels and restaurants. You should check your own cell phone provider if you want to purchase a text package or data package during your trip.

Electricity information

There is Wi-Fi and a satellite television in an upstairs family room at Le Pianore.

Dressing information

  • 2 full-day trips are included in the retreat.
  • One day, you will travel to Montalcino for exploration and lunch. For one of the best views in the area, climb the ramparts of Fortezza di Montalcino, a massive medieval fortress. You will visit Sant’Antimo Abbey and hear prayers sung in the hauntingly beautiful Gregorian chant.
  • On the second excursion, you will explore Pienza/Montepulciano and dip into the hot pools of Bagno Vignoni hot springs. Montepulciano is the home of elegant Renaissance palaces, charming squares and vast panoramas over the Val d’Orcia. It is big enough for some great shopping.
  • Lunch is on your own on both the excursion days.

    Harriet is known for sharing a fun, heart-felt practice both to groups and individuals and believes that the benefits derived from yoga practice expand to all beings, everywhere.

    "I am already trying to see when I can go back to Present Moment Retreat and it cannot be early enough. I traveled solo and mix 2 packages together, (be light and rnr) for a total of 10 nights. With the long travel coming from Toronto, Canada; 10 nights was great. The detox was fantastic and it was exactly what I needed to help restart everything and get my body, mind and spirit back on track. Food was great and I never felt hungry. My massages with Taylor and Nancy were divine....the herb bath was such a beautiful and sacred moment with myself. I am keeping up with my yoga practice now and the wholesome and mindful eating habits I have reconnected with at PMR, I simply feel deeply nourished on all levels. I have met some incredible people that I know will remain in my life for years to come. I checked out with tears in my eyes ( I did not want to leave). Give PMR to yourself.     "I was a first time visitor to Present Moment early July. The circumstances which brought me to this soulful retreat was not for a joyous getaway, but rather a time to seek some form of clarity to start to heal following a personal traumatic event. I spent two weeks surrounded by peace in the comfort of what Present Moment offered always feeling welcomed by all the staff, from America and Erika at the front desk, to Manuel and the other restaurant/kitchen staff to the pleasantries of housekeeping and grounds keeping. Yoga and body work really aided in my quest for some answers to my situation. The delicious menu offerings enabled me to maintain a healthy diet. The impeccable care of the gardens, grounds and structures was noticeably impressive. My bungalow suited me perfectly, making me feel very tranquil and safe away from the typical expected style of lodging. I will be forever grateful to Tom and Taylor for having the vision to create this wonderful place which helped me to stay present."
