Azrac Surf Morocco was a perfect way to ring in the New Year! I spent 8 days in Tamraght with a girlfriend enjoying the people, surf, and food. Our day began with a walk on the beach, then on to surf lessons, and ended with an exceptional yoga experience on the terrace and a lovely, warm family dinner. The owners, Sophie and Morad, attended to every detail from the nourishing post-surfing lunches to professional, and fun, lessons that made this a perfect holiday. As a surfing novice, Morad’s instructions were tailored to our individual needs. He provided daily suggestions for improvement, while remaining patient and encouraging to those of us that were a bit more challenged. He gave us time to break as needed, but always let us knows when the waves were good, so no opportunity to catch the best wave was missed. At the end of the day, Carston, the resident yogi, led us into well-planned holds that relieved muscle tightness from surfing. On a couple of occasions, we indulged in a soothing message at the local hammam that Sophie kindly arranged. I wouldn’t have changed anything about our holiday and I look forward to my return visit. I never thought I would be able to catch a wave, but now I can!
At 40-something, I decided I wanted to learn how to surf and was lucky enough to have found Sophie and Morad (owners of Azrac Surf). They offer a fabulous surf and yoga package that includes nearly everything you could possibly need for a relaxing and adventurous vacation. And, they are truly wonderful people that are invested in giving you a good experience. Sophie and Morad think of every detail – from the best waves to catch to the best views for our lunch spot. And, they pride themselves on small groups (we only had 2-3), which gives them the opportunity to get to know you, work with you on the surf board, and create an amazing vacation for you.
I booked a last minute surfing and yoga holiday for the Christmas Holidays. Overall I spent 10 days with Azrac Surf and I had a fantastic time. I was a beginner surfer and they managed to convert me into a surf addict. I am planning my next surfing holiday right now. Morad the surf teacher is very professional and fun at the same time. He teaches you the principles of surfing but also of the sea: learning about the waves and understanding when is best to surf so that you can catch great waves. He is attentive and he pushes you so that you get the best out of your practice. After the surf, we would do Yin yoga, which are very enjoyable and useful after a day of surfing. It stretches your muscles in depth to help you get in top shape the next day. I have a super weak neck and I didn't suffer once from it thanks to these daily workouts, despite all the paddling and looking right and left to catch the waves. I am quite advanced at yoga and the teacher would tweak the positions to make sure they work for me and my level.
After the yoga session, Sophie and Morad welcome you to their home where the lovely Fatima cooks delicious home made Moroccan food. I am vegetarian and she made special dishes for me everyday that were both super healthy and tasty. During my stay I resided at the Riad Imouane which is a lovely riad in the center of Tamraght, only a few minutes walk to Sophie and Morad's place. The rooms are simple but well equipped and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We did the yoga sessions at sunset on the rooftop of the riad everyday, which was a very peaceful way to end the day. For this holiday, I wanted to relax but also do something good and healthy for me. I didn't respond to one work email and feel totally re-energized to start the new year thanks to the careful planning of my holiday by Sophie and Morad. I highly recommend this type of holiday for people who want to disconnect, be healthy and meet friendly relaxed people. Congratulations to Sophie and Morad for creating such a special experience.
I have always dreamt about learning how to surf one day. With Azrac Surf team I spent best days of my life. Sophie and Murad were really welcoming and we had a lot fun together. Sophie's food was amazing, our yoga sessions as well. I will definitly visit Azrac Surf one more time. Thanks for everything :)
Me and my friend stayed with Azrac Surf for one week in January 2016. It was an absolutely amazing experience. I have only been surfing once before and I didn't know what to expect beforehand. Sophie & Morad were amazing hosts and great surf instructors. By the end of the week I was able to surf the beautiful green waves of Marocco which was a great accomplishment for me. We also got all sorts of safety instructions and I would feel comfortable to go out and surf on my own now. The Riad we stayed in was very nice as well, nothing fancy, but clean with very friendly staff and night security guard. The food was perfect, solid breakfast with pancakes and egg and they cook mostly traditional Morrocan food in the evening or do barbecue. All in all, it was a beautiful vacation and the perfect escape from work.

A group of us stayed at Azrac Surf in January 2016 for Advanced surf guiding. Everything was really well organised - airport transfers, delicious food, and awesome surf sessions!
We got to surf a range of surf spots in the area, surfing up to 2 different spots per day. Morad is a great surf guide and helped us get to the spots at the right time, giving us pumping waves and fewer crowds, all thanks to his invaluable knowledge!
We really got the most out of our surf trip and felt really taken care of during our stay. The accommodation was great to get a good nights sleep and chill after surfing, and we also tried some yoga sessions which really helped our bodies recover after being in the surf all day!
If you're looking for a stress-free surf trip with great hospitality and personal service, I'd highly recommend Azrac Surf - looking forward to our trip back in Winter 2017 already!!

I stayed with Azrac to teach sunrise and sunset yoga on the Riad roof terrace over looking the sea. It was a beautiful space to teach and also had an ambient room which I used for massage therapy. The Riad was beautiful bursting with vibrant colored traditional deco, had a pool, and friendly staff
The surf was so much fun, staff were fun, friendly and safety conscious. All equipment and excellent tuition were catered for surfing at various surf spots, suitable for all abilities. The trips to Paradise Valley, Taghazout, and local souks were great fun and the food was locally produced and home made! Highly recommend, I can't praise it enough.

I’ve recently come back from a 10 day surf yoga retreat with Azrac Surf. Sophie and Morad were very welcoming and the accommodation we stayed in was beautiful and had a lovely vibe to it. I had a great time surfing at the friendly beaches, and Morad’s local knowledge of the best spots to surf was invaluable. His advice also really helped to point me in the right direction of what I needed to improve on with my surfing.
The twice a day yoga sessions, one at sunrise and one at sunset, were a great way to start and end the day. The morning session was really energizing and prepared the body and mind for a long day of surfing. The evening session was very relaxing and great for stretching out those tired muscles. I am new to yoga, so wasn't particularly confident at the beginning, but Amber was a very encouraging teacher and by the end of the holiday I had started to get the hang of it!
The food that was cooked for us by our hosts was delicious and much needed after a very active day. The trip out to Paradise Valley was a welcome break after so much exercise and a beautiful scenic spot. I would definitely recommend Azrac Surf for guaranteed Moroccan weather and waves to anyone who already surfs or is new to surfing. I will definitely be heading back to Tamraght at some point in the future!
I have just come back from a 10 day surf and yoga retreat at Azrac and I wish I was back there now! We were looked after so well by Sophie and Morad - beautiful food, lovely surf, great tuition, daily yoga and surf sessions... It was fantastic. I hope it won't be long before I can visit again soon!

I went to visit Azrac Surf to help one of the owners out with online marketing and enjoy some yoga they were offering. Next to excellent personal surfing instruction, Tamraght and Azrac Surf provides you with a friendly, relaxing atmosphere for not only surfing but also personal yoga sessions on the beach or a place of choice and freshly home-made Moroccan food which will make you feel better in no-time. I had a great time relaxing and strengthen myself after surgery.

We had a fantastic five days with Sophie and Morad. They really took care of everything, from collection at the bus station, to the riad to delicious dinners every day. The riad was clean and comfortable and it was great to be able to relax in the sun on the rooftop terrace after a day’s surf. It was a great place to practice yoga too.
They rented us material that really suited our needs and Morad brought us to a variety of surf spots during the week. He always had positive feedback for our surfing, we got a chance to progress and experience some of Morocco’s most well known spots, as well as lesser known ones. They were really flexibile with adapting to our plans and helping us get the most out of our trip.
Hospitality is a real strong point for Azrac Surf, we felt really at home and we always had plenty of fresh food to eat. Both Sophie & Morad made sure the camera was always on hand and captured loads of moments that we never could have got ourselves. As well as the surf, we got a chance to see the local side of Morocco, visiting Paradise Valley and the local Hammam. Sophie and Morad are really committed to giving their guests lots of individual attention and making sure they get the most out of their time in Morocco. Thanks guys for an awesome trip!
I booked a one week long surf and yoga package at very short notice (three days before I flew out), and it could not have been easier or more enjoyable.
Airport transfers, meals, and accommodation were all taken care of, but this company is the total opposite of what an anonymous package holiday deal usually brings to mind. Sophie and Morad take great care to look after you during your stay. Whether it's Morad's friendly style of surf instruction, or Sophie bringing homemade lunches to the beach. They are a naturally hospitable team, and together they run a personable yet professional operation.
The accommodation (Riad Imourane) was clean and friendly, meals (either home cooked or at the riad) were all delicious, and I have to give a special mention to lovely yoga instructor Bryony, whose wonderful sessions managed to convert me from lifelong cynic to yoga enthusiast!

The Riad I stayed in was very beautiful, with a roof terrace to have breakfast on while overlooking the village. The Moroccan food during the whole week was extremely tasteful and it was very nice to try it out! The village where the camp is located, Tamraght, is very small and you will see lots of surfers. The surroundings are mainly hills and of course, the ocean - if you like taking walks bring some trainers!
After breakfast, we headed out to the beach with Morad, and Sophie, sometimes joined, as well. Morad gave me some really good surf lessons and I think I progressed pretty much within the week I stayed there! I also did yoga during the sunset twice, which I can truly recommend, because it feels so good for the sore surfing muscles! During my stay I also got to know some amazing people from different countries, who made the trip even more fun. I think whether you stay a day or a month, it will always be a great experience! I hope to come back and experience a bit more of the surroundings, the culture, and of course, more waves!

I stayed with Azrac Surf for one month and it was a wonderful experience. I explored the surrounding region and visited some truly breathtaking sights. The food is amazing and fresh, featuring seafood dishes, as well as traditional Moroccan meals. The village of Tamraght is perfectly located between bigger villages and offers a very peaceful environment. But, if you want to experience a little night life, it is only a 20-minute drive away. Access to affordable taxis or the local bus is easy and carefree.
The surf lessons with the Azrac team are comprehensive and thorough and the instructors are always close enough to you to continue teaching you while you are riding the waves. I really like the energy of this surf school because there is never a feeling of pressure to get out there and surf if you are not feeling up to it. If I wanted to take a day off, they were always accommodating. I met some amazing people at this surf camp and I now have friends all over the world to stay in touch with! Would definitely return.

Sophie and Morad are just the best host. Everything was well organized, the Riad is nice and clean with a nice staff, and food was perfect! Morad is definitely the best surf instructor I had so far, my surf has improved so much and faster than any other surf camp. I definitely recommend Azrac Surf Morocco for anybody who would like to live an authentic surf experience in Morocco!
The best surf school! Morad is one of the best surf instructor. Also, the accommodation was clean and recommendable. The food is delicious. I had an unforgettable week with a lot of fun and Sophie took very good photos to remember this holiday. I will come back and will absolutely recommend this surf school! Thanks, Morad and Sophie!

I joined Azrac Surf as a drop-in surfer for three days in September! A great experience where everything was organized so well, with great kit, delicious lunch, and an awesome surf! Massive thanks to Sophie and Morad. I will be back!
Sophie and Morad are awesome! Morad is very clear and simple in his instructions and he had me up on a surf board the very first day. He was so patient and always knew exactly the right advice to get me riding the wave. I was lucky enough to meet Sophie's family too. You couldn't imagine meeting more warm and accepting people. Definitely a 5-star experience! I can't wait to go back and do it all over again.
Sophie and Morad were amazing hosts. Everything was seamless, from our initial communication with Sophie to our final surf session with Morad. They even came to the Riad on our last afternoon to ensure we got away okay and Morad kindly managed to squeeze in a morning surf on our day of departure! They are a smaller camp and this suited us down to the ground as we got to spend more time with Morad, instead of the other camps where there may be two instructors and 20 to 25 people!
It was also a bit more versatile in being able to pack up and move from one spot to the next if the winds changed or the crowds got too heavy. He is a great teacher and after surfing in Bali, San Sebastián, and all over the UK, he really gave us both some good tips and food for thought for improvement. Sophie was great too. We got to hang out with her most days and she made the best lunches. We are both veggies, so it was good to get such variety everyday!
We had a couple of massages over the trip and Sophie organized this for us, with no hassle. Couldn't recommend these guys more. They are such lovely and chilled people. From surfing, to the seamless pick ups and drop offs, and beautiful Riad, we will definitely be returning! Thank you!
Sophie and Morad are impeccable hosts, great teachers, and absolute fun! This was my first experience surfing and Morad was a great teacher! He was determined to, and succeeded to, get me surfing the green waves! Sophie is a great coordinator and full of laughs, but she also has her day job, so we only got to see her in the evenings. And between the both of them, they can speak English, french, German, and Arabic very fluently!
The riad they use is quite comfortable and Tamaraght is a nice quiet town compared to Taghazout and Agadir. Whether you have no clue about surfing or you are a professional, Morad will take you to all the sweet spots. My only complaint is that i wish they were closer to my home in America! If I ever get back to Morroco, I will be staying with them! Go check them out! Best experience for your money!

I arrived as a total beginner and Morad got me into the water and standing, riding my first waves on my very first lesson. He speaks German, French, and Arabic amongst others and is a fantastic teacher. Knowledgeable and patient, he makes you feel at ease and makes it really fun! Sophie is a beautiful photographer, chef, and linguist, also speaking English, French, and Arabic. Everything is very well organized from the airport pick up until the moment I leave. Homemade lunches are fresh and tasty and all activities are well thought out and fun to be part of. I had a fantastic time at this surf camp, I only wish I had booked for longer!
Oh boy! You go there once, you will definitely go there twice! Been there many times and found friends for life in Soph and Morad. The flair, the people, the food, timelessness is unforgettable.

Azrac Surf Morocco is a great team for learning how to surf! They are very nice people and know what they are talking about. My friend and I learned all the basics in just one day. Azrac Surf Morocco provided us with all equipment, nice lunch, and tips on what to do in the area. They are nice and fun people, so don't hesitate to book your vacations with them.
Stayed two weeks in Tamraght. During my stay, I felt like I got a real experience of Morocco whilst staying at Azrac Surf. The surf tuition was brilliant, food was delicious, and accommodation was lovely and traditional. Although I was traveling alone, I was made to feel comfortable and at home as soon as I landed with pickups to and from the airport and friendly faces to welcome you to Morocco. If you want accommodation that will suit surfers and yogis wishing to explore the coast and improve their skills and a chilled out trip, this is the place for you!

I spent 3 glorious weeks at Azrac Surf Morocco in March and April, 2015. A perfect blend of amazing instruction, fantastic day trips, great people, and delicious food. The experience was an incredible life enhancing adventure. As a lone traveler from Canada, I felt completely taken care of. Right down to be picked up at the airport in Agadir. Azrac Surf was flexible, consistently ensuring that what I wanted each day was the priority. Delightful!
The certified surf instructor, Morad, was fantastic. Clearly exceptional at what he does! His gentle, kind, and encouraging methods helped me gain significant success in my progression of surfing. He radiated the desire to ensure my success on the waves at various locations. Morad spoke fluent English, German, and Arabic. His business partner, Sophie, met my adventure needs prior to me, even knowing I had a need. She planned and orchestrated day trips that were absolutely breathtaking.
Sophie covered details like having amazing meals for trips, the beach, and post surf meals. She facilitated a flow in my days and evenings that ended in a perfect blend of Moroccan bliss. Fantastic chats over freshly brewed Moroccan tea on the terrace. Always a big chilled bottle of water and lovely fruit available! Azrac Surf ensured all I needed to think about was having a perfect time in the waves, or taking in the fantastic vibe of Morocco. I can't wait to return!
Me and my friend (absolute surfing beginners) stayed for one week in very nice riad (clean, sun terrace, great food in the evening, little more variety in breakfast would be perfect) in small town Tamaraght. Every day in the morning, we were collected by car and went to the spots. Learning surfing with Morad was great! Every day, Morad, Sophie, and Morad's brother had very fresh and delicious lunch for us.
For one day, we went together with Morad and his brother to a beautiful place (I forgot the name), something like a lagoon where you can swim and relax. It was beautiful! One evening even Sophie and Morad invited us to have dinner together at their house. It was really good and we felt as friends knowing each other for long time. If you want to have more night life than you should go to the next villages, but for us, it was perfect because every evening we were so exhausted from surfing, so staying in the riad and drinking some beer was good enough. So thanks again to Morad and Sophie. Hope to see you again!
