Join a special yoga retreat with Tristan Dorling in Devon, United Kingdom. This retreat introduces yoga and meditation using AYP (Advanced Yoga Practices). It is an integral system, which incorporates a full- scope approach to yoga. Since yoga is also known as the process of the union or joining of two things, you will learn how to unite your inner nature and your universal nature. Covering meditation, pranayama, asana, mudras, bandhas, samyama, and Advaita. AYP provides a powerful and direct form of practice, leading to the cultivation of peace, ecstasy, bliss, and unity.
There are a mixture of single rooms, twin and triple rooms at the retreat centre. There are a few single rooms which are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis to those who prefer a single room. There will be a maximum of 13 people on this retreat.
Practices will include asanas, meditation, spinal breathing, Pranayama, and samyama as well as other yoga practices. The focus of the retreat will be on the cultivation of inner silence, purification using pranayama and self-inquiry (jnana yoga). This retreat is suitable for people of all levels of ability from complete beginners through to advanced practitioners. Full instructions on practice will be given.

Tristan had his first awakening experience in 1990 after a meditation retreat in a Buddhist cave monastery in Thailand and experienced the awakening of Kundalini the following year in 1991. Over the next 19 years, he continued to study Buddhist meditation and yoga and he traveled to Nepal, Sri Lanka, and especially India as often as possible to continue the study and practice of yoga in various ashrams and monasteries. He started teaching yoga and meditation in 2006. He qualified as a yoga teacher from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta ashram in Kerala, India
This retreat will take place at the Bala Brook Yoga Retreat Centre, Dartmoor, Devon, South West England, United Kingdom. Bala Brook is situated in Dartmoor National Park and on the edge of the open moor.
During this retreat, There will be two meals served each day (brunch and dinner) and fruit and hot drinks will be available all day. The food served will support a yoga and meditation practice. You can also cater for vegan diets and special diets such as dairy or gluten-free if you let AYP Yoga know in advance.
Please travel to Totnes station then take a taxi (it's about eigh miles). There is a half hour bus service to South Brent from Totnes.
