You will stay at Eden Rise Retreat Center, Devon, United Kingdom. Located at Sandwell Retreat Barns, it provides a beautiful environment that has wide views to Dartmoor and has access to seven acres extending to the Harbourne River.
The hill side stone barns around a courtyard were recently converted and include the large, bright, open-ceilinged Albion room (61 square meters), Hayloft room (25 square meters), and separate sauna area. Rooms are eco painted and most of them have doors to the courtyard garden or upper terrace. There are wood floors and underfloor heating throughout. Water is UV treated borehole water and hot water is solar heated.
There is a garden terrace around the barns with a hedgerow walk to a beacon lookout and fire point. Shared with others working land, the garden will take you through wooded fringes, down to the river, and pass beautiful trees, with sculptures and shrines along the way, leading to the Santa Rosa labyrinth and the sheep grazing.
In this retreat, you will practice asanas, meditation, spinal breathing pranayama and samyama as well as other yoga practices. The focus of this retreat will be on the cultivation of inner silence and peacefulness. Full instructions in practice will be given during the retreat.
When you are awakening your higher self, sometimes called the realization of truth (dharma), boundaries and identification created by the mind fall away and everything is seen simply as it is, in its pristine purity. The experience of this condition is one of radiant bliss. Yoga is both the direct experiencing of the bliss of union and the methods through which that unity is attained.
