Expert tip: This is one of the most popular yoga retreats offered in Israel.
Join Saul Mukhtar of Avayasana Retreats for a unique experience of healing and personal exploration in one of the world's most spectacular natural landscapes. The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth and the closest you’ll come to the womb of Mother Nature. At Avayasana Retreat, you’ll rest in comfortable accommodations surrounded by the spectacular Judean desert. Restore your mind with sunrise meditation and expand your physical horizons as you float effortlessly in the pristine waters of the Dead Sea. Unleash the deep healing powers of weightlessness through a set of unique floating techniques that can only be practiced here!
Harness the healing and liquid zero gravity properties of the Dead Sea water, and immersed in the non-stimulant stillness of the sacred majestic Judean desert. Avayasana is the name given to a prolonged continuous uninterrupted deep state of relaxation.
that is being achieved by pure natural immersion in the silence and stillness of the desert with the deep floating experience.
The deep floating experience is a collage/ fusion of techniques based on the natural phenomena of weightlessness and anti-gravity which is created by floating in the dead sea.
Integrating esoteric techniques, pranayama, meditation, psycho-acoustics, and watsu.
In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within (The fifth limb of yoga - pratyahara). In theta, we are in a dream; vivid imagery, intuition and information beyond our normal conscious awareness.
Combining simplicity and comfort, each room has its own shower and toilet, mini-refrigerator, coffee corner, sheets, towels, soap and shampoo.
Rooms sizes (16 sq.m. to 22 sq.m.) vary from a double room, room for three / four, and family units. All the rooms are air-conditioned.
You will begin the day with early morning yoga and meditation. With over twenty years’ experience, Saul designs each class according to your level. A nutritious breakfast follows, energizing you for a day of hiking or exploring the area. Afternoons are set aside to experience the powerful healing qualities of the Dead Sea. Allow the mineral-rich mud to rejuvenate your skin and receive the therapeutic benefits of floating yoga.
Return to the villa for an evening session of yoga, followed by a nourishing, authentic Bedouin meal. Join Saul for a star-gazing walk through the desert (optional) before retiring to your comfortable bed to rest and restore.
