Surround yourself by the intrinsic beauty and magic of the volcanic energy of the sacred Lake Atitlan. Immerse in the practice of yoga and the celebration of gathering in a community. Take time to develop an intimate relationship with yourself and expand your consciousness. You will gather as one tribe to practice, learn, listen, transform, evolve, inspire, and be inspired. It is a "whole-listic" time to recharge, realign, heal, transform, and expand.
During the retreat, you will stay in an accommodation with a private room. It is equipped with private bathroom and kitchen facilities, fresh spring water, and breathtaking views of the Lake Atitlan.
In this yoga retreat, you will learn how to be an object to yourself beyond all speech, beyond all names, beyond the subtlest of all subtle things, beyond mind, the intellect, and the five senses. You will learn to connect more to yourself and find your inner peace where the bondage of ignorance of this world cannot affect you at all.
Miel spent most of all his life exploring the vehicle of the human body and the depths of the true self. He transmits an intrinsic peace in his practice and is an excellent facilitator in the discovery of the harmony between body, mind, and soul.
The yoga retreat will be held in Jaibalito, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. Jaibalito is the least developed and biggest little town in Lake Atitlan. Most people who visit the lake have no idea it even exists. It’s inaccessible by road and there are no cars. Because of this isolation, Jaibalito remains the most authentic and charming Mayan village in Lake Atitlan.
During your stay, you will be served daily vegetarian brunch and dinner with organic greens and medicinal herbs produced by local farmers on site. The foods provided to you also follow some basic Ayurvedic principals of balancing dosha and best diet for each participant.
At additional costs, indulge yourself and relax with temazcal or other treatments such as deep tissue massage, swedish massage, hot tub, neti pot, and other cleansing techniques.
Please book your flight to arrive at La Aurora International Airport (GUA). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.
Please take a boat from Panajachel to Jaibalito pier. The ride to or from Panajachel is about 30 minutes. It operates from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. everyday and the cost is about 15 GTQ (approximately 7.5 USD) one way.
