Details and descriptions of course materials

Asana: The practice is divided in two classes, which are held in morning and evening sessions. The morning session includes two hour class of Hatha yoga while the evening session includes another class of two hour where Astanga Vinyasa is practiced. Unique belt props are used for adjusting the positions in the most right way. If you have any questions regarding the adjustment, you may feel free to talk to your teacher and a genuine help is assured!

Alignment: This session enables you in learning about the right positions of the asanas. This class has been designed to help novice learners understand the crucial significance about the art of adjustment and alignment of asanas using proper and effective techniques. The alignment techniques class is held each day for two consecutive hours, and this is what makes yoga practice worth learning.

Pranayama: This is an important section of the yoga teacher training course, which enables learners in grabbing a sound knowledge about the control of prana or the subtle energy that leads to control of the mind. This class is held twice a day right after practicing asanas and is a crucial part of 200 hrs teacher training course in Rishikesh, India.

Mudra and bandha: An action that gives us delight or extreme joy. Practicing the art of mudra is concerned with sensory aspects. Mudra is a skilful technique that aids in meaningful practice of the pranayama, pratyahara ,dharana, dhyana, and samadhi. On the other hand, the bandhas are also included in mudras. These are only four in number and are usually practiced as an essential part of pranayama. When the bandhas are practiced without pranayama, these are then basically termed as the mudras.

Shat karma: The shat means six and karma means action. The shat karma is the six cleaning techniques of the human body included in the practice of yoga. The shat karma is practiced early morning and one time each day throughout the six days in a week.

Meditation: The meditation is not something that is done by mind; it is something out of the mind or better described as beyond the mind, when the mind stops meditation happens. This class is held early morning for about 30 minutes each day throughout the six days in a week.

Philosophy: The yoga teacher training course Rishikesh includes philosophical sessions throughout the six days in a week. These sessions are entertained by the Yogi Harishchandra or our guest teacher Guru Buddhi Prakash ji to help deliver peace of mind and gyana (knowledge) about the yoga and spirituality.

Anatomy/physiology: The 200 hours teacher training course in Rishikesh also includes anatomy and physiology classes which are taken by the Dr.Harsh.

Chanting: Yoga teacher trainees will learn to chant and present yogic mantras in the beginning and ending of yoga classes and 30 minutes 3 days in a week and also we teach how to use mantra to purify and balance the chakras. Also we will give you techniques of Mantra Dhyana.
