"Fantastic yoga retreat! "

So many things. The location. The accommodation. The staff. The food. The daily yoga sessions, in the amazing yoga deck area and the adventures to the waterfall and hot springs. Our yoga teacher was fantastic. Remote location but spectacular.

"Can't wait to come back!"

I loved everything about Atas Awan Retreat. The place is so serene with breathtaking views! We were so busy in our entire stay with yoga, excursions and day to day activities. I have no complaints and definitely recommend this retreat. They made sure all our needs were met including our transportation back to Ubud. I am coming back soon and bringing other friends to come with.

"Place needs some improvements"

Location is wonderful and closeby there is a river. Place is amazing for a remote secluded retreat if you are ready for such an experience.

"Majestic experience at wonderful location in Bali"

This retreat was the experience of a lifetime for us...we loved the location, the cabins were clean, organized, the views astonishing and the service was well above and beyond. We are vegans and the food provided had plenty of delicious vegan options. The meditation, yoga sessions and the hiking trip to the waterfalls were fantastic. The yoga instructor, Maria was a very nice and experienced person, she explained the different kind of sessions and provided for a very positive atmosphere all the time. We are truly committed to coming back to this paradise. They have a dog that we loved named Shinta and we loved the fact that she was loved and we'll treated! We found peace and relaxation at this place like no other...just fantastic!

"Yoga in the mountains above the clouds"

The hotel is on a very nice location in a small traditional village. The staff is ultra friendly and food just great. The yoga shala has a fantastic view and the bungalows are spacious and share the view, especially in the morning. The activities were very nice, especially the fantastic waterfalls. The driver was very friendly and carefully driving. And always tried to find spots of interest for us.

I can only recommend the massage, it is worth every penny. Yes you can get it cheaper in Bali, but these strong hands are worth it.

Maria was a lovely teacher, we will stay for sure in touch. She cared for us and changed the program according our wishes. She is very friendly and open, helped us a lot.

"Good yoga in breathtaking surroundings and complex"

Loved the stunning lush green views from the yoga hut, rooms and restaurant.

Early yoga session at 7 and evening session with meditations.

The lovely friendly staff.

Delicious food although NOT all vegan (as advertised)

Very peaceful

Chanting monks in the distance

The atmospheric foggy/cloudy afternoons and evenings (it was only sunny in the AM's)

Availability of local tasty red wine

Organised trips to waterfalls and hot springs

"Yoga Retreat in October 2017"

I really enjoyed my experience in Village Above the Clouds overall. The retreat is ideal for beginner to intermediate level yogis. Anastasja (the yoga/meditation instructor) was lovely and open to the different needs of the group.

This place is ideal for people who are flexible as the schedule is quite loose / subject to change (people start and finish the program at different times) and I would advise that you contact the organization and ask about the programme ahead of time. The rooms are beautiful and the location of the village is in proximity to amazing natural sites like waterfalls and hot springs and is easily accessible from various parts of Bali.
