Join a real Bali yoga retreat secluded in nature, in one of Bali's best kept secrets, the Sideman River Valley, East Bali. A natural and tranquil haven to reconnect with yourself and nature. This retreat will give you plenty of time to develop and practice yoga and meditation practices. You will be focusing on Hatha practices and Vinyasa sequences, basic pranayama (breathing) exercises, as well as body and breath awareness meditations.
All ages are welcome as participants.
Nirarta has 11 guest rooms in six bungalows, each with delightful views. The bungalows offer a choice of accommodation to suit different tastes and budgets. All rooms have fans and are well ventilated.
This retreat will take place at Nirarta Retreat Center, located at Sidemen Valley, East Bali. Only a half hour from both magnificent mountains and seashores is the center’s lush gardens nestled in terraced rice fields. Overlooking the Unda river, Nirarta Retreat Center is surrounded by a ring of green hills in unspoilt East Bali. Here, nature's unfolding presence sustains the natural unfolding of your own renewal.
Besides creating a safe and serene holding environment, much of what they offer at Nirarta in their one-to-one work, retreats, and seminars is to help those who visit the retreat, including dealing with external changes occurring in their lives, identify and initiate shifts in behavior, focus, or direction; set up and consolidate the kind of deep learning that will support such change; and support the natural process of growth that is bringing a person to a new level of integration.
Start your day with Hatha Vinyasa yoga based sessions, including guided relaxation and meditation; followed by a light breakfast. There will be a silent meditation session before lunch. Evening classes will be based on worship style, focusing on specific skill sets like inversions, backbends, arm balancing, or relax in Yin and Restorative postures. You will also join a relaxing “roll and release class”, learning to use myofascial release balls to deeply relax around the body.
In between classes, feel free to swim in the river, walk in the valley rice fields, have one of your relaxing massages, connect with yourself, and other fellow students.
This retreat is suitable for both absolute beginners and intermediate students.
Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Transfer from the airport is included. The organizer will pick you up from the airport.
Please check that you are eligible for the visa on arrival. ATM machines are plentiful and official money changers can handle most currencies easily and honestly.

Steve was born in New Zealand and has travelled widely. He has been fortunate to have experienced many forms of yoga practices and physical fitness. His latest passion is mountain biking and pranayama.

The price of this retreat includes one Balinese relaxing massage. Additional treatments can be booked for an extra cost.
During your free time, you can walk through the valley or down to the river.
