The retreat will be held 50 meters from the Indian Ocean on the Northern coast of Bali near Canggu. You will have your feet in the sand in 2 minutes from the yoga shala! This 200-hour training will be focused on Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga asana practices. Asia Pacific Yoga will make sure that you will begin your training safely with a relaxed and focused manner throughout the steps. Enjoy a true Bali experience with comfortable and well-ventilated rooms, all with their own fans and bathroom. Each rooms have double beds, hot showers, writing desks. Nirarta has 11 guest rooms in six bungalows, each with delightful views. The bungalows offer a choice of accommodation to suit different tastes and budgets. You can also choose a single, twin, or triple room.

The mission of this retreat is to cultivate your curiosity for yoga, fire up the passion for your own practice, and to encourage your authenticity so that your teaching will be a natural overflow of this. During the yoga teacher training, we will explore the vastness of the human capacity to connect with the system, with your fellow students, with nature, with the cosmos, and with the all indefinable pervading presence of energy, consciousness, and awareness.

This 200-hour training will focus on Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga asana practices, as well as covering all the necessary pranayama, meditation, and yoga anatomy necessary to get you to teaching safely and confidently. You will be guided in a relaxed and focused manner through the steps to begin your yoga teaching, covering all the requirements for YA200 accreditation.

  • Steve Hall

    Steve was born in New Zealand and has traveled widely. He has been fortunate to have experienced many forms of yoga practices and physical fitness. His latest passion is mountain biking and pranayama. He has over 12 years experience and has been involved with yoga training for five years. He has taught over 9,000 hours of classes and has 500-hour yoga registered teacher and e-registered yoga teacher 200-hour classification, as well as being a 200-hour Yoga Alliance trained Kundalini and Aerial yoga teacher. Steve has a relaxed but thorough style of teaching.

  • Geri Jones

    Geri was born in India and moved to Australia when she was young. She has returned there many times and studied classic Vedanta philosophy. Geri is a qualified gym instructor and has always included yoga into her personal training program. Her demonstrations and insight into Yin and Restorative yoga were wonderful. Geri’s calm and nurturing approach to teaching was welcomed by everyone.

  • Kirtan Smith

    Kirtan was born in Los Angeles to dedicated yogi parents. After graduating from international relations, he moved to Brazil where he continued to do yoga until his Brazilian teacher encouraged him to devote his life to sharing yoga.

The retreat venue takes place at East Bali in the Sidemen area, specifically at Nirarta Centre. Here, nature’s unfolding presence sustains the natural unfolding of your own renewal. Nirarta nestles above the Unda River, beyond the village of Tabola.

The name Nirarta translates to “wealth in that which is not” which points to the knowledge that springs from the simplicity of not knowing and the abundance abiding in the silent source of life itself. The Nirarta Centre aims to provide a bridge between the knowledge and insights of the West and the deep wisdom woven into the colorful fabric of Bali.

During the retreat you will be provided with light detoxing fruit and fruit juice for breakfast. As for lunch and dinner, you can enjoy a buffet-styled vegetarian menu guaranteed to be both healthy and delicious. You can enjoy your meals in the open thatched bale with stunning views of the river, gardens, and rice fields.

During your free time, the retreat offers a variety of different activities including water rafting, snorkeling, and an outing to one of Bali’s most beautiful beaches. The venue also provides a few activities that you can try, like guided walks and Bali tours.

Nine directions guided walks

While you can do many of these walks alone, it is advised to take a Balinese guide who can help you discover the magical corners of the Sidemen area off the beaten track. He can also introduce you to the shrines and temples in the traditional way and bring them alive while avoiding offense to local sensibilities, turning each walks into a mini pilgrimage in nature.
