Program

Asia Pacific Yoga strives to create immersive, expansive, and transformational experiences that you will not forget. They believe in keeping their groups small, a maximum of 9 students so that each student gets the maximum benefit out of the training and the proper attention he or she deserves.

Yoga practices are about feeling better, no matter where that begins for you. It is not about what it looks like, it is about what it feels like. The training is about exploration, not perfection. Asia Pacific Yoga is passionate about yoga and love to share these simple but profound practices.

Asia Pacific Yoga goes by the principles that everybody is different and individual attention is vital when you begin learning yoga postures and yoga sequences. They understand that there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to yoga and that every student has different needs when learning how to teach yoga.

This is a unique opportunity to practice, study, and become an internationally certified Yoga Alliance yoga teacher in a stunning lakeside New Zealand town. The luxury yoga house overlooks the lake with stunning views. Come and join Asia Pacific Yoga!

Retreat location

At the heart of New Zealand’s central volcanic plateau sits the largest freshwater lake in Australasia, Lake Taupo, the great inland sea of New Zealand.

This huge, shining expanse of water, moving between aquamarine blue and jade green, is crystal-clear to a depth of 13 meters. It is home to one of the best wild trout fisheries in the world, more than 30 species of waterbird, several types of native fish, and native kōura (crayfish).

Taupo is a place of extraordinary natural beauty – a vast, sparkling lake, trout-filled rivers, ancient lush forests, steaming geothermal zones, and towering snow-blanketed mountains.

The crystal-clear freshwater of Lake Taupo draws visitors to the town to swim and sunbathe, kayak, fish, enjoy family activities or soak up the atmosphere in the town’s many lakeside restaurants and bars. Further out, there are national and forest parks, natural hot springs, and adventure activity bases, including whitewater rafting, sky-diving, and bungy-jumping.
