Ashtanga Yoga House Spain Yoga Retreat Program

This course is intended for all who want a different experience in one of the best and most famous sites of climbing and who are not afraid to go out of their comfort zone. If you are a beginner, you will learn the basic techniques and maneuvers, belaying, knots, and make your first steps on rock. If you are already an experienced climber, the climbing guides will help to improve your grade, learn to lead climb, and rappel.

The group will be divided according levels. One afternoon will be devoted to the theory of climbing to improve your performance on the rock.

The Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a series of a particular sequence with the focus always fixed on the breath. You will learn the first part of the series, postures, breathing techniques, and philosophy of Ashtanga yoga. Beginners and advanced participants can participate in the same class, you do not need to have any experience. If you have an advanced experience, Ashtanga Yoga House will help you to improve in the more difficult poses and asanas.

Antonio is a musician, experienced climber, owner of La Casa Encantada, and a passionate cook. He will take care to prepare all breakfasts and dinners, which are all vegetarian, and accompany the group to the crag. He will also give you joy and music in the evenings, amenities in the house, and the famous Andalusian hospitality. He will take care of every guest so that everyone is happy and he will organize everything from trips you want to do and special orders.
Nives Sutakovic
Nives is an Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher certified and authorized by FPYK in India. She has been teaching for more than 15 years and has been practicing for 25 years. She is also a passionate climber. In recent years, she has traveled the world to the most famous rock climbing sites, such as Tonsai in Thailand and Kalymnos in Greece, where she has taught yoga to climbers from around the world. In addition, she has taught in Argentina, Nepal, Malaysia, France, and Germany.
Javier is a certified Spanish mountain guide with over ten years of guiding and over 23 years of climbing experience. He is in charge of all the excursions to the rock and will teach you all the techniques and maneuvers necessary and will introduction to rock climbing. The topics he will discuss include theory and practice, belaying, lead climbing, rappelling, anchors, rope techniques, projecting climbs higher than your on sight level, and the theory of climbing.

Retreat location

Alora in El Chorro is a village located 40 kilometers from Malaga, in the mountains behind Gadalhorce Valley. The town of 13 thousand inhabitants, overlooking the Guadalhorce valley, is characterized by three important passes, the Los Gaitanes, the Sierra de Aguas, and Sierra de Thuma with a height of 1.119 meters.

The Los Gaitanes Gorge has more than three kilometers, with steep slopes and vertical limestone walls more than 300 meters in height. El Chorro attracts climbers from around the world with more than 2000 climbing routes. The Casa Encantanda is situated a few kilometers out of Alora, right in the middle of the mountains with the most spectacular views.


You will be served daily breakfast, dinner, and snacks on the mountain. These meals are included in the price.
