Nektarios has been teaching the Ashtanga yoga method as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois since 2009, while in 2012 Manju Jois authorized Nektarios to further do so. He now teaches primary and intermediate series. His extensive time in India also led him to become an accomplished sitar and veena player, as well as a certified Vedic astrologer. During the last years, he has also practiced Vipassana meditation and spends much of his time in the mountains, becoming a skillful mountaineer.

"Lovely escape in the Cretan mountains"
The atmosphere and welcoming nature of the staff at the mountain refuge. A great setting for focus and rejuvenation.
We went to Chania in september 2014. We had the pleassure of trying yoga at Ashtanga Yoga Crete. It was perfect since I'm a beginner. Nektarios was able to show us the basic. The class is for everyone so if, unlike me, you are a veteran, you will enjoy just as much.
All levels of yoga are taught, with great teachers and fun pupils from all over the world. Their garden grows their own food. Yoga not your thing ? There are plenty of other types of exercise - like Thai Chi, or if you want to hike, the hills are quite beautiful, with caves to explore.
